Ability to automatically change previous period date range

Question

My business stakeholder insists on doing A|B tests by comparing time periods vs. running concurrent tests using Adobe Target. In Workspace - is there a way to configure the date range so that the previous period automatically adjusts to compare to the current period.

For example if the current period = 3 days then the previous period = 3 previous days (i.e. April 13-15 vs. April 10-12)
AND when the current period = 4 days then the previous period automatically adjusts to include the previous 4 days (i.e. April 13-16 vs. April 9-12), etc. etc.

I know how to manually configure by using the "compare time periods" function but hoping for an automatic solution.

As far as I know, that isn't possible automatically.  You can use rolling dates for the reference period, but I can't think of a way that you could make that date range larger as more days roll by.
