Country column in Data Sources file

In all the documentation, I don't ever see it mentioned that you can upload the country variable in a data source file. Has anyone tried including country in a data source file to see what happens (not as an eVar, but with "country" as the header)? I know that the country is based on IP address, so it makes sense why this might not work, but just thought I'd check.
