Dashboards in 14.7 also in excel/word etc.

Compliment to the new dashboards in v14.7!

I miss one very important option for me and my users. At least 80% of the dashboards are usually downloaded and sent in excel format. PDF is only used for a small percentage. I would really appreciate if you could add this option, too.

Thanks,

Claudia

a PDF is useless to me as I still need to manipulate the data once downloaded. All I can do with a PDF is print it. If I want to manipulate the data, I need to completely re-type the report. What a waste that is and a HUGE openning for error!

I am a relatively new user. But I am glad to know I am not crazy in wanting this feature (especially since it apprently used to exist). Why would you get rid of such a useful feature (and not replace it with so many complaints of its removal)?

Agreed - a lot of users want scheduled compilations of data (i.e., dashboards) - but they want to be able to edit them. Scheduling each separate report is a huge timewaster for Omniture users and our business clients.

I totally agree with the idea of including both HTML/PDF and Excel within the same download/email.

I'm a new user and saw the need for this immediately. Since it USED to be an option, at least I know that I'm not crazy to want it...

Yes please, we need the excel format back for our clients (at the least be able to download).

why no Excel download format from new dashboards? I'm adding my voice to the chorus asking for this feature to be reinstated.

You need to offer an HTML AND Excel option within 1 email.

ie, I may want the pdf via email and if there is an issue I'd then like to be able to dive in to Excel.  I don't want to have to run 2 reports / automated emails to get this data.

That was my comment too during the beta testing, those dashboards have been optimized for print and we run everything electronically. The layout looks much better but PDF and HTML are closed formats, at least Word and Excel should be retained from the legacy dashboards.

The new format dashboards can only be output in PDF/HTML - historically you could output in Excel format too.  You can still do it by going directly from the report and schedule it but not if the report is contained in a new dashboard.
