Hi Team,

I am new in adobe analytics, can you please tell me as how I can create/add query string parameter for campaign tracking code in adobe analytics.

Using Admin console, where I need to create tracking code like cid, pid,..etc. in report suite properties like in Coversion Variables or Maketing Channel Manager.

Please explain me setting or rule using arrow...

Thank You!

Hi Anil,

If your analytics implementation is via DTM, you can set the query parameter globally - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/sc/implement/dtm/referrers-campaigns.html

Otherwise you could set s.campaign parameter in the page code - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/sc/implement/campaign.html

The result would be available in the tracking codes report - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/reference/reports_tracking_codes.html

Here is a descriptive article on campaign tracking describing how it works in Adobe Analytics - https://blogs.adobe.com/digitalmarketing/analytics/campaign-tracking-inside-omniture-sitecatalyst/

I hope these links will give you a fair idea, feel free to shoot further questions.

These guide explains how to create the S.Campaign on a landing with parameters cid (or other paramaters); what I don't understand is how to do if the user comes from natural search like Google (or another search engine) or from the referral traffic or from direct traffic.

Is there an official guide that explains how to populate the S.Campaign in these scenarios? I need to creare s.campaign using document.referrer?

Hi,

If you come from a Google world, you may be used to the UTM-code generator from Google. There exists similar tools for Adobe, where you can create and structure campaign codes, as well as uplaod classifications to be able to make some more complex and interesting analysis. Have a look at http://accutics.com/ for example...

Hi Anil,

I think this document would help. Basically to track a campaign you would have to add a Campaign ID parameter to the link - https://blogs.adobe.com/digitalmarketing/analytics/campaign-tracking-revisited-part-1-overview-advanced-solutions/
