Adobe Analytics

We are trying to use the native connector in PBI to report on our Adobe Analytics data.  Unfortunately, any time we try and do anything remotely close to the type of reporting we need, it does not work.  Either will take for-ev-er to even try and load the rows or will just error out. I've investigated with Adobe & MS and it seems it is the way the 2.0 API works that causes any worthwhile reporting (more than 1 dimension & 1 metric over a daily time period) hits the limits of the 2.0 API calls. https://developer.adobe.com/analytics-apis/docs/2.0/guides/faq/Even trying something simple like: - Daily data for a 6 month time period- Marketing Channel      - broken down by Device Type - Visits- Orders- Revenue  this should be a "simple" report, yet it hits the API limits and effectively renders PBI useless for us.  Has anyone use PBI w/AA connector successfully?  

Hi,I was always puzzled by the way the mobile tracking is set up and wanted to verify this once and for all.  Implmenting tracking in the app is straight forward with adobe .trackState for a page views and .action for events. Fair enough. However, everything is implemented in the code and I have no control over what is send to Adobe, unless I brief a developer to take something out of the app code. This is strange to me as the Adobe SDK contains a Launch container which is used to host the Analytics extension. You can setup Analytics tags but they are triggered by .trackState and .trackAction which send the data to Analytics anyway. So what is the point of creating Adobe Analytics tags in mobile tag manager? Ideally the tag manager would work like for the website and give me the capability to fetch structured data and decide what to send to Analytics, but it doesn't seem to be possible to do this? Best regardsUwe

Hi all, I have created a derived field summing events (denoted by 1 and -1) at a People level for analytics use case to understand group membership. I was wondering, how does this derived field summation apply when you adjust the date range within a workspace? For example: In the derived field, I am denoting 1 as a subscribe/opt-in event and a -1 as an unsubscribe event/opt-out event, then summing at a Person level scope to understand who's net subscribed and who has net unsubscribed. When I drag this dimension into a freeform and adjust the date ranges, is it going to sum those values at a Person level according to the date range set (e.g. summing all events Jan1-Jan30)? Or is it going to return a 1 for anyone who, at any point in the date range, had 1 as their net status (e.g. user was was subscribed jan1-jan15, but unsubscribed after on jan24) I ask because of two use cases: 1) I want to create a time series graph plotting this information, for a use case to track net

How does Adobe Analytics collect tracking codes within URLs?If there are two tracking codes in one URL, which one does Adobe Analytics collect? According to the data set I'm referring to, it appears to collect the latter tracking code at the end.E.g. www.abc.co.kr/?csref=dsp:ABC&csref=dsp:DEFIn this case, Adobe Analytics only collects dsp:DEF and not dsp:ABC.

Any suggestions on how to build the return frequency dimension from Adobe Analytics into CJA? Thanks in advance!

Hello, Does anyone know the proper way to track screenviews in a mobile sdk implementation?We are using edge, datastreams, and schemas. We need to track screenviews and clicks in adobe analytics.I see the recommended event types for web clicks and web pageviews in the documentation, but nothing for mobile. We successfully see our props and eVars in the report suite, but no "visits" or "pageviews"- Should I follow the event type recommendations for web?- Do I have to send an event, such as event1 to get a screenview?

We are unsure of which Bounce Rate metric to use for our overall site performance reporting, one thing I noticed, for both of the screenshots where the bounce rate looks more accurate (49%) the metric being used is ‘Bounce Rate (Page Views)’ rather than ‘Bounce Rate’.  I am new to my digital growth team and my predecessor had mentioned a Bounce Rate discrepancy before she left. With some of our brands, the team members have their own dashboards recording Bounce Rate that don't seem to be accurate. I found this in my initial research:Bounce Rate (Page Views)Not a standard Adobe metric—often refers to bounces divided by page views.Can be misleading; not recommended for precise analysis.Bounce Rate (SPV/V)Single Page Visits ÷ VisitsMeasures how many visits involved only one page view. I'm wondering if 'Order' contains all the purchases, or only those with full payment? Is there further information of the relationship between order and payment? Best regards

Hi, I'm seeking to understand if there's a method to create a segment or calculated metric that doesn't count page reloads.For a form submission, I need to capture the number of bookings. However, if a visitor reopens the page, the form step instance is counted twice.For example, if a visitor starts and completes the booking in one session, it's counted as one visitor with one booking (form step instance). But if the same visitor reloads the appointment page without initiating the booking, the number of bookings (form step instance) is recorded as two.

Hey team, Is anyone else experiencing issues with the Next or Previous Item panel in AA and CJA? We’re able to drag and drop the panel and select dimensions and dimension items as usual, but when we try to build the panel, we receive an error message. This issue seems to be occurring across multiple users on our end.  I couldn't find any notes about it. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!  

I'm attempting to create a click thru rate calculation for our Home Page team with the calculation created as the below with HP Click Visits defined as a visit with an event category prefix of RE: (our indicator of a link click).You'll notice that this works great at the Page Name level, but once you do a breakdown on specific link click values, the segmented click visits and the visits become the same. Is there a way to lock the reference on the breakdown to the total? So instead of recommendations being 386K click visits / 386K visits and thus always 100%, that it retains the total amount so the calculation would be 386K click visits / 3.0M home page visits.  

Newer to using adobe but use a few other tools to track metrics. I have continued to find that Adobe is higher than some other tools. When digging in, I see some specific sessions counting multiple times for a visit. Testing my own session I found it counted 2 times into the views metric but I do not see how it should have based on the documents. It seems that it is when a user opens items in a new tab. Would Adobe view a new tab as a new visit?

Hello,I would like to know how is everyone configuring their Sandboxes ? Do you usually use one for dev and another for prod. Or have 1 for both prod and dev?  Below are for 1 sandbox ( Dev+ prod)Pros - having 1 sandbox for AEP<>CJA data collection is that - We just need 1 AEP variable data element and reference the schema once in tags. Cons - hard for access management since everything is just one sandbox nowBelow are for 2 sandboxes ( Dev & prod)Pros - having 2 sandboxes for AEP <> CJA data collection is better for validating and testing, easier for access manage and change management. Cons - having 2 sandboxes will create a problem when we have to reference the schema in a AEP variable data element, each time we want to publish the libs between dev to prod. We will have to change it and higher maintenance.

Hello,I noticed that for some time periods, the purchase numbers are different between Data Warehouse reports and Workspace dashboards in Adobe Analytics, even though they use the same data.Could it be because of how the data is processed, sampling, or filters? I would really appreciate any advice on how to understand or fix these differences.Thank you very much for your help.

I want to create under "set classification" when I'm in rule builder. Where do I create this? The classification set is a drop down where we can create more groupings. I want a new grouping created. Where can I add?  Thanks in advance!

I am using Adobe Analytics Reporting API, where I have a custom dimension 'Page Name' and 'UserID'. 'Page views' and 'Unique Visitor' are the metrics that we want. Using the API we want a breakdown of every Page Name with the User ID - page views and unique visitors metrics. However, we are unable to get the desired response. Could someone help on this? Thanks.
