rename a dimension value

what are different way to rename a dimension values, without asking application dev or vista rule?

One way I can think of is use classification. Is there any other way?

I wanted to change MobileDeviceType=Others as MobileDeviceType=Desktop

Currently, classifications are the only way you can accomplish this retroactively.
