Sending Data retroactive using DataInsertion API and timestamp

We are using the data insertion api for our tracking due to only be able using serverside tracking. Within the API-request we always have to insert the timestamp. My question now is: In case we would suddenly have tracking issues and the tracking would be turned off for couple days, would it be possible to send tracking data retroactive by using the timestamp functionallity?

The answer is yes but the report suite needs to be either configured to be timestamp enabled or optional. Make sure there is the same visitorID.
