VDSID High/Low Concatenation vs Out of The Box adobemarketingID

Hi All,

We are using clickstream in some of our reporting.

We've set up our identifier within clickstream as suggested by Adobe - using  "VDSID HIGH - VDSID LOW" concatenation.
We've also started passing the adobemarketingID value that is passed out of the box into an evar.

Those two values (VDS_ID High & Low vs, the evar) do not match - why wouldn't they be the same thing?

visid_high and visid_low values are retrieved from svi cookies while ECID value (mcvisid_high/low) are derived from AMCV cookies. It would make more sense to compare the post_visid_high/low values to compare the data when using ECID values.

Do any of the answers provided answer your initial question? If so, can you select one of them as the correct answer? If none of the answers already provided answer your question, can you provide additional information to better help the community solve your question?

@cassandraga1 Can you please check mcvisid column in data feed and compare with the stored value in evar ?

Refer the below link for mcvisid related information :-
