Suppress bots

Hello,

I've pulled over an "exclude bots" segment from analytics into audience manager.   Is it correct to assume for my segments in audience manager I would use the rule "and" to suppress any bot traffic from my segments?

Hello @amccabe82 ,

You may use "AND" logic to further prohibit any bot traffic but AAM maintains a flag at device level and any suspicious device gets marked as flag. With this flag being set, the device won't be considered in the segmentation process.

Hi there,

If you have already used Exclude Bots then you can use AND. So, basically exclude bots should contain all visitors minus bots.

Otherwise, if it's possible to create a segment that's just bots. Then you can also use that as suppression in AAM segments.

In that case, you could use AND NOT to suppress "Bots Segment".

Thanks,
