I would like to know pros and cons of nested and flat data layer to implement on a web property? Also, would like to understand if there any concerns related with implementing anyone of the data layer method with respect to Adobe Launch (TMS)?

Hi,I encountered the following problem:When using the Android SDK I would like to send the user's individual game score as a numeric value together with an action.So in Android I normally useHashMap cdata = new HashMap<String, Object>();cdata.put("myapp.evar.game_score", 12345);Analytics.trackAction("myapp.action.game_score_changed_action", cdata);The eVars are created in the web dashboard. This work nice for a defined set of values, but doesn't work very well for numeric values.I would like to apply a filtering like "greater than 1500" but this is not possible like this since every value is just a string.How is it possible to track these numeric values?I've read a lot in the documentation and assume it could be some kind of events withcdata.put("&&events", "myapp.event1=12345");But I'm not sure about this and have no clue what to create in the web dashboard to work together with this.Or maybe I should use some kind of counter variable?How is this done correctly?Thanks in

DTM used to have a deploy webhook, used together with the download zip option, when publishing changes / new library (so our code was made aware of the change and could download zip). Cannot find similar in Launch?

How to capture previous page name value in prop using adobe dtm?

Hi Masters!I'm trying to figure out how the Product String Launch Extension works.I'm tagging a checkout page, and I would like to set the product ids (array) using this extension. The documentation is not very clear (Use bracket notation to denote any object in the variable that is an array ( i.e. myDataLayer.thisIsAnArray[n].productID))To store the product ids, I tried with a Data Element and with a custom JS with _satellite.setVar(). But it doesn't work. Is there any example out there?For example, my specific questions about the documentation example (myDataLayer.thisIsAnArray[n].productID):Is myDataLayer a Launch Data Element?Should I include the '%' symbols in the configuration field, inside the Product String Launch Extension, like any other field in Launch?If I set a Data Element, let's say 'CheckoutPage_SKUs' with an array of product ids, should it work if I set '%CheckoutPage_SKUs%'? Or '%CheckoutPage_SKUs[]%'? Or '%CheckoutPage_SKUs%[]'. (These doesn't work for me)Any help wo

Hi everyone,I have a question about the settings of pageviews in Adobe Analytics. We've got a webpage with an iframe. The container has been implemented  with DTM and the iframe has been tagged with custom link and eVars. When the page is loading, a pageview is sent (through DTM), but the iframe also sends a pageview because of its tracking code. ¿Is there any change to delete the second pageview tracking (in order to only have one) and leave the event tracking? Thanks in advance!

The tutorial videos cover some basic principles of the publish workflow, but now that I work with it I have a question. Do I have to create a revision for a Rule, Data Element or Extension when I have a small change in it? Even though the library never got to the approval stage yet?I just rebuild it for development and I was hoping it can be configured to just always take the latest version of all the added pieces each time I rebuild it. But as of now I had to create a few revisions of some Rules for each little change. Is this how this is supposed to work or am I missing something?

I have configured a bunch of Global Variables in the Analytics Extension, but my page load rule doesn't send them. It only executes the ones set in the custom code section of the Analytics Extension. I don't have any overlays in the "Set Variables" action at the moment it is actually empty. The only thing I see in the tracking call are the props that are set as duplicate frrom the eVars. But even this doesn't work in any other rule on the page, there nothing except the explicitly set eVars and props are sent and nothing from the Global Variables.

We are unable to find which event to trigger to send this data to Adobe. Any idea how should we go about it ?

I'm using DTM to listen for an event-based rule, named "My Custom Rule". The event type is "custom", as I'm using custom events to track actions from a 3rd party widget. This is my configuration below. It's fairly bland, and I have no conditions (yet). The custom event name is "my-widget-loaded".Within my 3rd party widget, I trigger my custom event:document.dispatchEvent(new CustomEvent('my-widget-loaded'));In the console, I see:SATELLITE: detected wtb-load on #documentumentBut it never fires my rule, I never see a message like:SATELLITE: Rule "My Custom Rule" fired.What can I do to make my rule fire? Why isn't it working?

Each time I make a small change in some rules, update my library and trigger a build for development I get the warning that the Analytics Extension needs an update and I need to confirm that I want to apply it. I did this now at least 5 times, shouldn't this be saved with the revision of the Analytics Extension?Why do I need to "apply" these changes every time I build the library?

I'm just starting to learn Adobe Launch (with the hopes that I can convert our tracking over to it). I've been (mostly) successful in setting up our tracking parameters however, my test site isn't setting any cookies (either from our VisitorAPI service, or from our custom plugins like s.getNewRepeat).I'm not sure what I need to do to get this to work.I know there's a section called cookies in the Analytics Extension, but I can't find anything on what the expected values are, if this is even the piece I'm missing.Thanks.

How does one stay informed when the software versions used by the Adobe product extensions get upgraded? And if an upgrade causes issues, how does one revert to a previous version?This is a more general question about the software versions used by the various Adobe product extensions, but specifically Analytics. In DTM, one had some control over the AppMeasurement version served when using the Adobe managed option. With Launch, you do not have this control.Whenever, the Analytics extension team decides to upgrade the version of AppMeasurement, you get the upgrade, without noticed.This provides no opportunity to conduct regression testing of the new version to ensure that it does not introduce issues. Even more troubling, is the fact that the version of AppMeasurement currently served by the Analytics extension is the unpatched 2.8.0 version. Within DTM there were warnings to upgrade to 2.8.2, because of issues with version 2.8.0. Within DTM, version 2.9.0 is already available.

I was wondering if it is possible to share data elements and rules between properties? What would be the guideline on choosing when to set up a new property and when to actually manipulate the report suite with some custom code on the same property?

Hi,so we made our first deployment through and everything looks fine.Then one user deleted an action and clicked save and we decided that we want to get back or revert the changes that user made to Production state.How can we do that?Also is there a way to see what the content was so we can re-create the deleted action in case we can't revert back the changes?
