Hi all,I am new to DTM. I have setup an event based rule and a page load rule for my test site. For now everything is working fine when a normal link is clicked. I have an external link in my site. I wanted to track the link and put it into an evar. So i have enabled the link tracking in the "Overview" of DTM. Now when i click on an external link i am able to see 3 pixels getting triggered.1. Pixel with the page load configured variables with the link type set to external link.2. Click pixel3. Page load pixel.Question 1 : Am i supposed to get 3 pixels????Question 2 : If yes, then there will be a conflict in the reports as the variables configured in the page load rule are sent to the reports twice. How to resolve this issue????? Question 3 : How to extract the link type and put it into an evar or a prop??? Note: I have not configured any evar or prop under global variable section in the overview.

Hi, I’m new in DTM and faced some problems with tracking button clicks.In my site I have slider with 2 buttons on it. I would like to track clicks on them – firing an event and eVar with name of button. It looks like this:And here is the code:As You can see both buttons use the same class .heroCarouselButton. I tried to put text value of this class into data element:And then use it in event based rule on click on button:But when I test it eVar51 always has text value of first button – “Plans & Pricing” even if I click on View Demo button. Thanks for any help.

hello Adobe Community !I'm currently having a very odd bug, and I wanted to know If someone has already find a solution on this :When the iOS APP is in the background and then you double click the home bottom to close the APP, on the next launch of the APP the crash event is firing. As per the IT team in such scenario, iOS treats it as killing of the APP forcefully which results in the crash event firing. Is there a way to fix that? Cheers !Mario

I have a data layer titled "Bootstrapper._data_layer".  See screenshot from Chrome console below...My development team created this data layer and they are pushing data to it.I want to use Adobe Launch to pull values from this data layer.How would I configure Adobe Launch to pull values (such as page_name) from this data layer?How would I configure Adobe Launch to push new values to this data layer?

Dear All,Having two questions from Launch and I hope you can help out.1. How to use Plugins in Launch?Actually Adobe is managing the library for us. We have used Data Elements to retrieve Props and eVars.Once of my eVar uses s.getvalonce plugin to extract the value earlier.How can I replicate the same in Launch?I know that i need to include Plugins in Custom Code. Does this mean that i cannot set Data Element which will set the value using s.getvalonce?2. How to retrieve Adobe Analytics Version?I wanna retrieve Adobe Analytics Version and capture it in Prop. Since Adobe is managing the library for us, how can i retrieve the value automatically and place it in a Prop.Kindly help.Thank YouArun

Are multiple browsers (safari, chrome, FF) on a PC/mobile treated as distinct entities in the device graph? if users use multiple browsers within a device to interact with a brand, it would make sense to make them part of the graph. However, probability of this scenario occurring is very dim, as most users have affinity towards one particular browser and they would never switch that loyalty.

Hello!We're working on troubleshooting some regional loading issues (China) and so far it appears satelliteLib* JS files that load early are blocking due to very long download times (> 1 minute in some cases).  In order to troubleshoot, I would like to prevent ALL DTM activity on specific pages.  The plan is to only do this in staging, so it won't affect production and I do not want to go through an entire CM process to make adjustments to the site's actual codebase.Is there a way, within DTM, that I can cause it to no load anything at all on specific pages?I'm aware of the s.abort, and returning false at the tool level, but both of those solutions still load DTM and the aborts happen on the browser.  I am looking for a way to prevent the library as a whole from actually responding at all at the page level that doesn't involve the browser.As an aside, is this functionality available in Launch by chance?Thank you!-mike

I'm having difficulty in creating an image request for the following pagehttps://www.vitas.com/resources/end-of-life-care?cmpid=c2356. We are planning to do an email campaign to direct our users to this page and I'm interested to know the number of emails opened. Can anyone please help me to create a hardcoded image request so that I need to see the number of email opens in Email Open rate report of our global report suite.

Is it possible trigger a pageload or event rule from script?I am aware of the _satellite.track('my-direct-call') syntax, and would like to know if there as an equivalent for pageload/event rules.Thanks!

We are running into issues where a JSON is undefined in a subsequent page by design.Suppose a data layer in an SPA:Page 1: digitalData.abc returns "label X"Page 2: digitalData.abc returns undefinedThe data element (DE) that maps to it would:Page 1: DE returns "label X" !Page 2: DE returns "label X"What's the best way, if it's possible, to make the DE return undefined in page 2?I tried converting the DE to custom code (below). Doesn't work.if(digitalData.abc == undefined){  return undefined;}else {  return digitalData.abc;}Any advice?

Hi there,when I am creating a "custom" criteria on Pageload or Event rules, is there anyway with in the script I can know the name of the rule the condition is checking against?I have looked in the "this" and "arguments" scope, but can't find any reference to the context the condition is triggering against.Thanks!

Hi all!I have had a problem happen a few times now with my new Launch setup.  I go into Publishing --> <my dev setup > and click "Add All Changed Resources" as per usual and it pulls in the two or three items I changed, but has lost everything else.  My Upstream Resources is empty (not sure if it should be).I can fix this by manually going through and re-adding everything through "Add a Resource" --> All - but I have to select each one individually and it takes about 30 minutes for our site.Any ideas what I could be doing wrong / how this is getting reset?Thanks!Marty

Hi everybody,i´m currently using adobe cloud hosting for FAT and Libary download for PROD environment. For some reason, if a rule is fired in PROD, the main script  tries to load a .js file that is not part of the libary. Also the path the script is trying to call has a different ID then the embedded script.The same rule will work perfectly on FAT (when loaded from the script hosted at assets.adobe.com). I don´t see any issues with the implementation since Launch will get loaded perfectly otherwise in PROD.i would be very thankful for any hints what might be wrong

We use the Qualtrics - Adobe Analytics integration with server side beacon.  it's my understanding that we need to use Q_AA_PARAMS to capture the Marketing Cloud Visitor ID.  We also try to capture a few eVars and Props to store in the Qualtrics study.  For pages using DTM there we are not able to get any values for the evars and props and the json i'm using is not capturing any values for the marketing cloud visitor ID.  The json i'm using isJSON.stringify({marketingCloudVisitorID: Visitor.getInstance('XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX@AdobeOrg’).getMarketingCloudVisitorID()});As for pagename, channel, evars and props, i'm using the Qualtrics Embedded Data in the intercept but for pages using DTM it's not able to capture values.  For pages where DTM is not being used i'm able to get values for pagename and channel.Are there any particular settings with dtm that could be causing these values to not live on the page and thus not allow Qualtrics to pick them up?Thanks for your thoughts.

I am attempting to work with a third party cookie consent management platform, and I would like to implement their tag through DTM. Does anyone have any experience with this? This is in preparation for new rules in EU. Quick note: using the EU consent option that is already in DTM is NOT an option. Thanks in advance to whomever can help.

Hello, i am fairly new to launch, dtm and the Adobe ecosystem in general. My company relies on server rendered pages with page components served as part of html and initialized using javascript from a bundle that loads after the page does.  Using DTM, tracking data from this async bundle works. With Launch and async library loading - we sometimes loose tracking data due to fast user navigation.Ideally we want to wait until all components have loaded before submitting page load event so we can include as much tracking data as possible in that first call, but we cannot risk loose the page view event due to fast navigation. Is it feasible to send a page view event immediately, and then do a later call with additional data using Launch? Can these events be merged somehow?Message was edited by: Magnus Lien
