How do  you define a completed session? Does it only count the  sessions which lasted for at least 30 minutes?

Something I've found to be a little less than intuitive, and even less documented, is how to properly fire the purchase event in DTM to get proper serialization.  The UI in DTM allows you to fire the purchase event, but my question is this: How do I ensure the event is serialized in the same way it would be in a traditional JavaScript call?  In other words, in JavaScript, I would fire the s.purchase event and then fire s.purchaseID=orderID.My assumption is that if I were to serialize the purchase event in the DTM User Interface with %orderID% would not result in s.purchaseID receiving the same value.  Is that correct?  I know someone out there has done this before, it's just a matter of implementing the proper process.Thanks in advance!Jeff

Hi,I have implemented adobe analytics on my website and all data are getting collected to my report suite. Now I want to flow these data to Adobe audience manager. Could you please tell me the most recommended integration method. As per my knowledge as data is already being collected to report suite, so it could be readily available to adobe audience. I have tried below configuration steps but I need guidance and help to complete the steps correctly..1. Added audience manager tool(Add a tool) under DTM. I selected here my adobe analytics tool but here it is asking for custom page code to intialize the integrated code. Could you please suggest me on this case?2. Also I tried the integration method: Profiles and Audiences Integration. Here I selected the raw analytics data > my report suite and so I can see all my events & eVars with all historical data. But same is not showing under Adobe audience manager > manage data > seg

I was told that global variables are global from page to page. So if any variable will be the same for all the pages, can put in  global variables.Then my question is, if I have a global page load rule, within this rule, I can setup some variables. Then what's the difference I setup variables in global page load rule and using global variables?

Hello, I'm trying to implement a Google Conversion tag for page load. I've created a page rule according to the following instructions:  http://digitalinsightsworld.com/tag-manager/setting-up-conversion-tracking-with-adobe-dtm/#gref . But I'm getting sort of a mixed response, it seems to be going through when I look at the Network windo in the dev console, but I'm getting an error that comes in the form of 'no HTTP response detected' in the google tag helper. Help? Not sure what's happening, and Google is not helping in any way.

We will need to get the site section info from URL, previously we only have us site, then url like  http://xxxxxx.com/section1/product1, we can find the xxxxxx.com/, the word after that will be our site section. Then when we add the international sites, then our URL start to have something like:http://xxxxxx.com.uk/section1/product1. I heard that Domain periods can help to solve this issue? Anyone knows how to use domain periods? Could I use it in data element?Thanks

Hi,I'm trying to set the value of an eVar via Data Element + Page Load Rule in DTM.My page has a data layer with multiple object branches, for example:dataLayer.pageInfo.countrydataLayer.productInfo.styledataLayer.visitorInfo.zipcodeetc I can successfully pass values from the dataLayer.pageInfo branch into evars via a DE referencing the js object path as:dataLayer.pageInfo.countrye.g. in the PLR, eVar11=%Country% But, all my DE's pointing to values on the .productInfo branch fail to pass. For example:dataLayer.productInfo.style...and in the PLR, eVar12=%Style% To clarify, in both cases, I can type _satellite.getDataElement('country') or _satellite.getDataElement('style') in the console and get the right value to return.  But when the AA beacon fires, the evar for country is there, but the evar for style is not.I have triple-checked for typos :-) Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone knew any strategies to debug this type of error. And what are the limitations on using document.write in DTM. Does anyone has success loading Google Analytics Ecommerce tracking in DTM? If so can you please share.We currently have Google Universal Analytics as an installed tool in DTM along with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target. The Ecommerce tracking is loaded on the checkout success page as a Non-Sequential JavaScript. The Ecommerce tracking was working fine in Ensighten, but the migration to DTM has not been successful.Please chime in if you have any questions or feedback regarding this.Thanks,

Hi I am trying to remove user from DTM .I removed from cloud admin console->users and also from sitecatalyst tool "user management "but i still see user as admin in DTM. Is there any other way i can remove users that i am missing here?Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Saila

From I was told that a hit is a service call, it is a image data send. The thing I still feel confuse is, for example,:in DTM, when a page load, I will have a page load rule which will setup bunch of variables, then I will have some special event  or page rules are fired due to the nature of the visit. In this case, for example, when a visitor visit a page, 3 rules fired, then how many hits do we consider? How may image will be send to server.Then if user just click a link, a link click rule will fire, will this be another hit? and another service call / image send? I guess my question is 1 hit is 1 rule fire? or 1 hit can have more than 1 rule fire? How did adobe construct a image call?Thanks

How do we track a custom variable?In summary, we have a form on our website and when someone completes the form they receive a unique quote number. It is this unique quote number that we use to create a custom variable. If the customer returns to the site they input this unique quote number to show their details. Hi GuysI'm in the process of setting up a marketing Cloud Audience that is defined by raw analytics data dimensions (ie. evar66 contains "+").This process forces you to identify a report suite, which leads me to believe i need to create the duplicate Audiences for each of the report suites where I want to use this audience. The problem is that when I do that, i get an Error message that states "Segment 'audiencName' exists with the same rule for the same data source and same merge rule." I have a feeling that although you define a report suite in the audience rules, when an audience definition (excluding report suite) exactly matches an existing one, it sees it as a dupe.Has anyone encountered this yet? Is it possible that although the Audience is defined by a specific report suite it actually transcends all report suites?ThanksMichel

I am getting an error in my Custom Event Code saying that "$ is not defined"   Below are steps to put in a break point to see the jquery error as well as steps on where to find the Custom Event Code within my web property in Launch.Put in a break point to see the jquery error:1) go to test1.hmkb2c.com2) open Developers' Tools and go to the Sources tab3) on the left side of the Sources tab expand assets.adobedtm.com and double click on the file that starts launch-EN4) the file will open on the right. click on the pretty print icon at the bottom left of this area5) search for olapic6) put a break point on the "$(document.ready(function() {" line of code, which is a few lines above the first instance of olapic (see yellow highlighting in the screen shot below)   7) refresh the web page8) the break point will be hit - you may need to click the step-over arrow three times to get to the error (see screen shot below)    Here is the location of the jquery th

1) I swear the Submitted and Approved columns used to be as long as the Development and Published columns. Now, these 2 columns are shorter (see screen shot below). This looks awkward. Could the 4 columns go back to being the same height?2) Could the columns detect my screen size and expand accordingly? Right now, the Published column isn't as long as my screen.
