We are facing some issue regarding the page load rules.Below are the steps we followed:. We created 2 page load rules, and set them to Trigger at "Top of page".. In one rule we added "Sequential Javascript" and in the other we added "Non sequential Javascript".As per DTM documentation, the expectation was "Sequential Javascript" code should have always executed before the "Non sequential javascript".However, this is showing random behavior, sometimes the sequential javascript rule gets executed before the non-sequential javascript rule; and sometimes the non-sequential javascript rule executes first.What we want to achieve here is to always execute a "Rule 1" first before another "Rule 2". We are creating these rules to trigger at "Top of page".Even if we create both the rules with "Non-sequential javascript", is there any way we can set the order of the rules so that one rule always fires before the other rule.In other words, in what order does DTM will execute 2 rules to be triggered

We have an internal site we are tracking, which is a single page which uses Angular.js framework to change views and content. I've set up some code within Angular to fire the s.t() call every time a "page" displays. The s.t() call works as expected for each 'page' rendered by the Angular code. What I'm running into though is on the initial load of the URL, we are getting two s.t() calls: 1 - A 'generic' call which has no pageName specific data, since that is set within the Angular display code. I'm assuming this is the s.t() triggered by the pageBottom() function. We do not want this as it fires before the Angular code has a chance to build and populate the required values.2 - The s.t() call fired by the Angular code as it is triggered when that code displays the first 'page' content. This is working as expected and is the call we want.Once past the initial page load, only a single s.t() call is being made for each new "page". My question is what is the best way to stop the empty call

Getting started with DTM.  Our legacy analytics implementation (with which I'm only vaguely familiar) is based on s_code.js with the media and integrate modules andsome custom js code we have developed.  We've decided to start using appmeasurement.js and its related sources (for media, integrate and visitor id) for this integration.I've set up the Adobe Analytics tool in a test property and published.  I've looked over the generated javascript code that I am supposed to embed and I don't see anythingthere that looks like it might have come from my 'managed' s_code.  Does DTM re-implement the functionality from which ever s_code-ish code I decide to use?  If so, what isthe purpose of specifying the s_code that is to be used?

Hi,I have recently started using DTM. Overall, the tool gets a double thumbs up! But, I am facing issue in tracking certain exit links. To track this link i have put the event type as 'click' and i have tried putting the tag both as li#careerTool and a.flyoutBtn . I am then clicking on s.tl() exit link and setting the props/evars/events that shall be fired when this event takes place.Upon debugging. In the DTM debugger, DTM tracks a click on A and the rule is fired. In the omnibug/digital pulse, two images are getting fired simultaneously. And is getting doubly recorded in Sitecatalyst as

Hi, I have a page at: http://www.threeekings.com/dtm/demosite/consumerJSON.html There's a data layer with an element 'planCategory'. In the console, I can access the element's value by typing:consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategorywhich returns:"MAPD" But when I try to create a data element to do the same thing, I get empty quotes:_satellite.getVar('planCategory')"" My attempts to create a functioning data element include:- JS Object, with Path = window.consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategory- JS Object, with Path = consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategory- Custom Script, with window.consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategory in the editorSo far, all of the above are giving me_satellite.getVar('planCategory')""or_satellite.getDataElement('planCategory')""in the console Any ideas what I could do differently so that the data element populates with"MAPD" ? Thanks! 

Adobe Analytics now lets you move report suites from one company to another. We're in this situation right now: our company's data is now going to be accessible from our own company's login rather than the agency that introduced us to Adobe. Does anyone know if the same functionality exists for DTM? Or will I have to rebuild all of the profiles, rules, etc. in our own DTM version?thanks!Craig

I'm having trouble getting DTM to recognize my Data Layer variable. I don't know much about JS objects, so I think maybe my problem is just in how I define my Data Layer variable.First in DTM I created a Data Element called Page_Name[img]Page_Name.gif[/img]Notice that I set the default value to "Unknown", which may seem redundant, but I couldn't get s.pageName to take a default value without doing that.Next I created a Page Load Rule that sets Page name to my object: %Page_Name%Finally, on my actual page I added this javascript:    <script>        //data layer        var Page_Name = "Homepage"    </script>But when I save this page and refresh it, I'm still getting "Unknown" in my pageName parameter being sent to Omniture.Thanks for your help!Craig    

Rookie question:  How do I write a Path based condition that will detect my homepage only? I'd like it to match :THIS: http://www.landsend.com/NOT: http://www.landsend.com/shop/swimNOT: http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-ruffle-thongs/id_265218NOT: https://www.landsend.com/co/ShoppingBag.htmlor any other thing that is not the base URL.  I tried using "/" on the PATH condition but it didn't work for me. I ended up creating a data element called "dtm_pathName" which is the Javascrip Object "window.location.pathname".  I can then test this against "/" to see if it is root directory.  HOWEVER, this rule needs to be evaluated on the client which seems a little inefficient and clutters up the debug logs in the console with messages like: "SATELLITE: Condition function (){return _satellite.textMatch(_satellite.getVar("dtm_pathName"),"/")} for rule "TNT - mBoxGlobal HomePage" not met."There has to be a trick.  Any advice? 

I have a page load rule to track my order confirmation data. The rule consists of criteria to ensure it fires only on the order confirmation page.The rule also specifies that Analytics variables for State and Zip fire (based on pre-configured Data Elements calling js vars on page)Finally there is Custom Page Code (in the Analytics section):var s=window.s;s.purchaseID=my_cart_id;s.products=my_sc_order_products;I can see the rule fire without errors in the console using Satellite debugging (_satellite.setDebug(true)), however none of the specific SiteCatalyst variables from the rule are being fired (other SiteCat vars do fire). I'm using Charles to sniff the packets and evaluate the output from the page code.Any additional ideas on how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.Thanks!

My rules in DTM are currently not firing. What are some things that I can check?

I don't have access to "Scheduling" under the Rules tab in my DTM web property.  AdobeTV gives a nice explanation but no demo.  There's nothing in the documentation about it either.  Do I have to request this feature to be turned on?

Hi,I just starting using DTM and I want my s_code being managed in DTM. My s_code currently include a lot of plugins. If I save all the complete code with configuration section, plugins....it works fine but satellite doesn´t rewrite the s_account variable. The resullt is that I always point to the same report suite in stage and live enviromment.I can´t remove s_account setting of s_code ¿Is there any way to get the live and stage account numbers set in satellite from s_code?Thanks. 

I'm adding DoubleClick Floodlight tags to specific campaign pages.  We have a separate tag for 6 pages. I've created Page Load rules for each page since the ids in the tags are different.   All rules are working but the purchase receipt page rule where I need Data Element.  When the rule fires I get a JS error in the console: TypeError: _satellite not defined. In the Javascript/Third party area I'm using  Non-Sequential HTML:<script type="text/javascript"> document.write('<iframe src="https://1346129.fls.doubleclick.net/activityi;src=12345;type=xxx555;cat=xxx555;qty=1;cost=' + _satellite.getVar('Purchase Amount') + ';u1=monthly;ord=' + _satellite.getVar('Purchase ID') + '?" width="1" height="1" frameborder="0" style="display:none"></iframe>'); </script>I removed the script tags and switched to Non-Sequential JS and the page wouldn't load.

I have seen conditional mbox being created around css class but can I create it around div.

I have created an onClick Event Based Rule in Adobe DTM and clicked the “Apply event handler directly to element”.My CSS Selector is “div.mainTopNav a , a.InfoLinkItem”. I want to access the clicked anchor tag’s href and text value, but I do not know how to reference the object of the clicked event and it’s corresponding element in the Custom Code Page.Please could you help me with this?

We are using Channel Adviser to place a pixel on our site, and return a cookie in some cases.  So what behavior should I expect? Using DTM, in my page I write _satellite.track("myrule");. Does that then return that code to run client-side?  Does it run on an Adobe server and just return/inject the returned code client-side?  How does it handle cookies? If it just returns the code to run client-side that'll be bad for performance, and I don't want to use DTM.  If it runs the Channel Adviser JS snippet server-side, is it smart enough to return the cookie?Thanks,Ryan

I would like to refer the staging and production satellite JS file in the page source based on the environments (Dev, Prod), instead of providing two different satellite files, one for staging and one for production. For that I thought of using FTP option by hosting these files from our server instead of using amazon Question 1: What are the features of FTP delivery? why shouldn't we use FTP instead of amazon?Question 2: Will FTP delivery serve my purpose of referring the staging and production satellite JS files depends on the environment?Question 3: If FTP delivery service is chosen, i believe the content in the JS file will automatically get updated whenever i make minor changes in DTM.                         Please confirmQuestion 4: Is there any limitations in using FTP delivery?Please help me understand the usage of DTM FTP delivery as soon as possibeThanks,Venkatesh

How do I populate a tag with a simple js alert test in DTM?

Hi, I've just started using DTM on my client's site.I'm wondering if it's possible to set multiple properties on a single site.(I mean there occur multiple requests for different container js files, on the same time, the same page) Usually there should be no need to do so, but I have an issue on controlling users's roles (e.g. User A should only maintain the rules on property A, User B on property B.)I tried, and it looks working, but I couldn't find any references about that on the help site of DTM. Thanks for any help.Masaharu
