Adobe Launch/Tag environments and AEP Sandboxes

Hi,

Found that in Adobe Launch/Tag, it’s possible to assign different AEP Sandbox/Datastream to the corresponding Launch environment like below screen capture,

However, for assigning Schema in the XDM Object, there’s no such mechanism. And thus if we select the development Sandbox in the Launch development environment, there’s no way to automatically change it to use Production Sandbox when it’s published to the Launch Production environment (see below screen). We would like to know is it by design and what’s the best practice for this?
