I'm fairly new to CJA. What I'm curious about is, when using Adobe Analytics and Analysis Workspace, we have the ability build segments and share those segments with other solutions (i.e Adobe Target) to activate them.
Does CJA currently support such functionality? or what work arounds are others using to meet such requirements?

You should be able to do the same within CJA, The recently released feature (CJA Audience Publishing) can help create an audience ( aka segment in adobe analytics) and you can then use this not only in Adobe target (also other adobe tools) but any of the "CDP Destinations" set up for your org.
