Link Tracking in an external Frame Popup

Hi Team,

I am trying to track link clicks in the external frame popup from my client domain.i.e.I have a link in my webpage and on click of that link I will be getting a Frame popup, using which we used to download certain docs.Kindly do suggest me how can I track the link clicks in that external frame through DTM as I am not having my Embed code associated with that external frame source code?

    Hi Sundhara,

    When you say you have an external frame popup are you referring to an <iframe>? If so, the only way to track clicks within the iframe is to also deploy DTM on the page that loads within the iframe.

    This is not a limitation specific to DTM but all tag managers. This is due to the way iframe work. Iframe by design are meant to completely separate everything within the iframe from everything outside the iframe.
