SSH Tunnel connection into AEP

Hi, I am trying to establish a SSH tunnel connection into AEP using a public key. However my database is on MariaDB. I tried using the OOTB MariaDB connection in AEP but couldn't connect as it said invalid credentials. Is there any work around, to connect to my MariaDB data source using an SSH Tunnel connection using public key? Thank you.

You can only use the connection string to connect to MariaDB. Did you add the AEP IPs to your firewall to establish the connection?
