Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform

Today, we are going to talk about a method of onboarding data into RTCDP which is discussed a lot and helps stream data into Adobe Experience Platform from pretty much any third party. We are going to cover the HTTP API streaming source. So let’s get started. Source Navigate to the Sources in the Experience Platform UI.   Above, you would see ‘Set up’ the first time you try setting it up. Since, I’ve set up an account at my end, it shows up as Add Data. Once you’ve created the account, you move on to Adding data. The screen looks something like below:   Go ahead and click on Add data.   Select your dataset, you would like to stream data to. Review and finish.     Next step is where most of the end users get confused. How to test whether the end point is working fine for them or not.   Testing Using Postman Next step is to get the streaming endpoint details to stream test data to. Select your dataflow from the list of dataflows for the account. Scroll t

In today’s tech byte post we will discuss how to update a specific attribute of a profile using the upsert feature of Adobe Experience Platform.  Let’s understand the meaning of “Upsert” in Adobe Experience platform context. Typically, when you ingest a record into the Platform with just a specific attribute, it updates that attribute but sets the other attributes to null. Upsert, however, allows you to update only the desired attribute while keeping the remaining fields unchanged.   A good example is when one wants to update only city, state and zip code request works fine, but overwrites any other existing attributes to NULL  The upsert feature enables the ability to update the selected attribute for a profile, here’s how you would enable it and get started    Let’s have a look at how we would do this via API    1. Disable dataset for profile   2.Enable for Upserts & Profile The request body includes a path to unifiedProfile setting the value t

Can anyone provide documentation related to step by step RT-CDP setup in the context of B2B. I'm going through this documentation at presenthttps://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/rtcdp/intro/rtcdpb2b-intro/b2b-overview

Hi everyone, One of my peers has updated identify in production by mistake so we had to remove the existing dataset (customer data in daily batch load) and recreate. After deleting the dataset, I created the dataset by selecting 'create dataset from schema', then selected the same schema that was used. After that, I enabled the profile. there is daily batch load automated by our data team. This morning I received an automated email that the file has been ingested into AEP. However, I see status 'no batch'. Does it take couple of days to process? Did I miss any steps to ingest batch data into the new dataset?

Does anyone know the best way to perform a profile lookup from web/app directly? There is a third-party (3P) tag on the website that needs to determine in real-time if a visitor is a known customer in AEP. If the customer is not known to AEP, only then does the 3P tag need to identify the visitor. Please note that the web SDK implementation is not yet available. UPS API is not an option here as these API calls will be directly made from client-side.

Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RT-CDP) is a powerful tool for marketers and data analysts, enabling real-time customer data integration and insights. However, mastering its myriad features can be daunting. In this post, we'll share two essential tips to help you maximize the capabilities of Adobe RT-CDP, streamline your workflows, and enhance your data-driven marketing strategies.   Tip 1 : Test out Streaming API destination endpoint payload The first tip focuses on using Request bin to test our Destination streaming endpoints , a must know hack to test out custom RT-CDP destinations.. The second tip will guide you identity issues and contribution of datasets to identity    One of the most used destinations within RT-CDP is the streaming HTTP API destination. There are multiple queries that are posted on the experience league community on the payload etc of this endpoint. Today, as the first tip, we are going to cover how you can use a public webhook like a requ

Hi Experience Community Members,What data structure is currently supported for activation in adobe Real-Time CDP? Can anyone share some insights on this?

Hi Experience Community, We are tackling the consent values for a corporate group with many sub-brands through idSpecific. While we know that the idSpecific map can tie the consent value to individual email address, however, the ultimate goal we want to achieve is to link each email address to specific brands within the corporate group, resulting in each email having a unique brand and consent value. We have created a custom consent field group with the data field "brand." While we can inject the values of "brand" through the HTTP API into the profile, we struggle to use this data field for segmentation. Could you please let me know where to find this field in audience segmentation? Are there other methods to categorise consent values by channel and by brand? We have also considered using custom namespaces for each brand but we afraid it may confuse the end users.  Thank you! Best Regards,Zac

Hi all,I am wondering how manual CSV file mapping will work with the idSpecific object in the UI. Specifically, in some systems, we can only generate CSV consent for specific emails. If the data comes in CSV format, how can we map the idSpecific using the UI? We need to use idSpecific because a user might have different email addresses and consent status for each of these emails. For example, our data is in a table format like this:membershipIDemailconsentabc123test_1@example.comyabc123test_2@example.comn How can we map this data in the UI as an idSpecific object like below? Wondering if we can use any wildcard char for this mapping works?"idSpecific": { "email": { "test_1@example.com": { "marketing": { "email": { "val": "y" } } }, "test_2@example.com": { "marketing": { "email": { "val": "n" } } } } }  Thanks,Imv

Though tools in the Adobe stack integrate seamlessly with each other, there might be scenarios where you might have non-Adobe tools in your Martech stack. For instance, you might have a non-Adobe personalization tool. How do we go about utilizing or exposing RTCDP audiences on the website for these tools to then utilize and personalize the experiences.   Custom Personalization Connection walks into the room ! We are going to look at Custom Personalization destination to make the audiences available for 3rd party tools, but, before we do that, there are a few things that need to be put in place.    1. This destination makes use of web SDK and mobile SDK. In this particular blog scenario, you need to have Web SDK setup on your website for it to work. You also need to have the checkbox for edge segmentation and personalization destinations ticked in your datastream as shown below.     2. This destination makes use of edge audiences created using an active-on-edge

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble using the Adobe RTCDP Streaming API to map the `idSpecific` object under the field group "Consent and Preference Details."I've attempted this several times, and most of the data maps correctly to the desired fields. However, I'm facing issues with the `idSpecific` object. When I map and validate, there are no errors, but once the API is called, the `idSpecific` object does not receive or update with any data. The reason I want to use the `idSpecific` object is to control consents for different specific emails (as users might have multiple emails) .Has anyone encountered this issue or can provide guidance on how to correctly map the `idSpecific` object?Tried the following, map my idSpecific object to Adobe's idSpecific object:And here's what my specific idSpecific object look like:Thanks in advance for your help! Feel free to adjust any part of this to better fit your specific situation!Cheers,Imv

Author - Olivia Gillies    Adobe’s Real-Time CDP powered by Adobe Experience Platform offers 3 types of segment evaluation: Batch, Streaming, and Edge. As hinted in the name, not all of these are “real-time”. This is sometimes a surprise to marketers, after all isn’t “real-time” in the product name 😉? In reality however, not all segments need to be calculated in real time, if you’re looking for customers who haven’t purchased in the last six months there’s no need for that to be real time. Where I find people get confused though, is understanding the relationship between the Data Ingestion method (which can also be either Batch or Streaming) and the Segment Evaluation type. A question I’ve often heard is “If I ingest data using a batch data source is it limited to batch segmentation?” The short answer is no, batch data can be used in a streaming segment, but the ingestion of batch data does not trigger segmentation. As a result, when it will a

It will help marketers to understand, analyze, and develop audiences based off every aspect of the user journey and conversion funnel. The Audience Design Framework provides a comprehensive view of customer interactions, enabling marketers to design meaningful audiences and tailor experiences that resonate. ADF Explained Within the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), there is a need for a more structured approach to identify, build, and engage high-value and actionable audiences. The current segmentation and activation approach is too narrow and often concentrates on a use case specific si
