Adobe Target

Hi everyone,I wanted to start a discussion around a challenge we’re running into with Adobe Target and Demandbase integration — particularly the timing conflict on the first page load, and how it impacts personalization. Our current setup:Adobe Target is implemented via Adobe Launch, loading synchronously (no flicker snippet used).Demandbase is also implemented via Launch using the OOTB extension. Both Target and Demandbase are triggered on the "Page Top" rule.We are also GDPR-compliant, and use TrustArc’s OOTB extension within Launch to manage cookie consent. So any personalization or tracking solution must respect the user’s consent state. The challenge:Because Target executes immediately on load, its call typically fires before Demandbase returns any firmographic data, making it impossible to personalize on a visitor’s first page hit. This severely limits our ability to deliver relevant content based on company-level attributes (industry, size, etc.).We’ve explored a few directions:Ser

Introduction As WebSDK gains momentum, there tends to be questions from clients about leveraging previous features in the previous Target library at.js. One of those features was at.js Custom Events. This feature could come in handy as it allowed you to hook into a mbox to notify you when at.js is loading, starts, succeeds, and fails. A common use case was to use these custom events to kick off some sort of notification process to let a client know that their test was running correctly or there was an error that needed to be looked into further.Comparing the TwoThe good news is that the product team has developed an equivalent feature for WebSDK, these are called monitoring hooks. Naturally the first question that comes to mind is what are the equivalent monitoring hooks compared to the at.js custom events? Here is a table I created to map out the equivalent monitoring hook based on the previous custom event,Sample Implementation Let’s take a look at a sample implementation I’

Introduction (Part 1)Ever wanted to make your website personalized for each visitor without slowing it down? That's exactly what we'll achieve by setting up Adobe Target Node SDK in Akamai EdgeWorker. We'll be using something called ODD (On-Device Decisioning) - think of it as having a smart assistant that makes quick decisions about what content to show each visitor, right at their doorstep. In this Part 1 guide, we'll walk through the set-up process, with more technical details coming in Part 2.How It Works: System Flow User Action: When someone types hostname/abc/home.html in their browser, they're asking to see a webpage. Think of this like walking into a store and asking for a specific product.Request Routing: This request first arrives at Akamai (a global network of servers). It's like having a branch of a local store that can handle your request instead of going to the main warehouse.Rule Matching: Akamai sees that this specific webpage (hostname/abc/home.html) has special

Introduction In today's fast-paced digital landscape, releasing new features quickly and safely is crucial for staying competitive. Feature flags (also known as feature toggles) are a powerful tool that enables you to do just that. They allow you to turn features on or off without deploying new code, making them an essential tool for managing feature rollouts, A/B testing, and continuous integration. Adobe Target, a leading personalization and optimization tool, integrates feature flags to enhance your testing and targeting strategies. In this article, we’ll dive into what feature flags are, how to use them in Adobe Target, the benefits of doing so, and how to execute A/B tests with feature flags. We'll also explore real-world case studies and best practices What Are Feature Flags? Feature flags are a technique in software development that allows features to be conditionally enabled or disabled. They provide the ability to decouple feature releases from code deployment, allowing develo

Hello, my fellow Adobe Target practitioners!  My team at MiaProva is involved in helping clients adopt the WebSDK, integrate with CJA, and build on the awesomeness of 1st Party ID data in Target. AUTO-PERSONALIZATION ACTIVITY SETUP RECOMMENDATIONS | ACTIVITY QUALIFICATIONAdobe Target's auto-personalization activity type, which is sort of the multi-variate version of machine learning, has a bunch of unique and useful features. AP, as with all Target activities, has the ability to target at the activity level. For example, if you want only visitors in California to qualify for the activity, you can set the audience qualification criteria with a geo-based audience. With auto-personalization, you also have the ability to set what we usually refer to as “offer level targeting”. In other words, certain offers can be set up with qualification audiences. For example, you might have a credit card offer, but you only want it available to visitors that do not currently have that credit card. One critical thing to keep in mind is that every visitor must have an available offer in every location to actually qualify for the whole activity. TIP/RECOMMENDATION: In Auto-Personalization,

Recently, several questions have been raised on the forum about the QA URLs not working or not showing the expected experience. To address this, this article will describe a workaround for an alternative QA method to the QA URLs. If you're familiar with QA URLs, skip this first part and skip to the alternative method. What are QA URLs? QA URLs are special links that help you test things before they go live. They let you see how the changes you've applied work without changing anything important, so you can ensure everything is ready before pushing your activity live. You can find the links on the Activity's Overview page:     With QA URLs, you can share what you're working on with your team using links that never change. The link stays the same even if you make changes, so it's easy to test. You can also decide whether to test for specific people or everyone. This helps make sure everything looks right before you publish your activity. One of the best things about QA UR

By @vinayso & @surebee In consulting, we frequently face challenges as technology develops and becomes more complex. As technology matures, sometimes there is a greater need to debug and troubleshoot issues that derail expected functionality. It’s one of the most common challenges that we see within consulting, and it’s commonly shared by clients as well. Whether it’s to meet a certain release timeline or to reinstate functionality, a quick resolution is always ideal. Our hope is that this guide can be approached from a broad perspective to help with any troubleshooting independent of the implementation being used: legacy at.js library or the latest Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Web SDK.Having the Right ToolsLike any craft, it is important to have the right tools to help you. Two essential tools for debugging and troubleshooting are the Adobe Experience Cloud Debugger Extension (available on Chrome and Edge) and the browser developer tools that come with all b

Dear Fellow Adobe Target Professional, I hope this email finds you well. I am seeking your assistance regarding the qualification of Adobe Target Business Practitioner Professional Certificate and its relevance to the Computer Systems Analyst category under the TN visa qualifications.I recently received a job offer for a role of Adobe Target Tech Consultant from a U.S. company and applied for a TN visa.
