We currently capture the first name of the visitor in the DataLayer and would like to pull that to personalize the headline with the name. Looking for suggestions on how best to do that.

Hi  I'm facing an error that seems to be common, we are trying to send batch updates to Target using API v2, but we see always the same response, <response>    <success>false</success>    <visitorId></visitorId>    <message>Batch is empty</message></response> I'm using the following cURL to make the calls,  curl --location --request POST 'https://<<CLIENT CODE>>.tt.omtrdc.net/m2/<<CLIENT CODE>>/v2/profile/batchUpdate' \--header 'Authorization: Bearer <<TOKEN>>' \--data-binary '@BATCH.TXT' The contents of the BATCH.txt file are like this:batch=thirdPartyId,param1,param2id1,value1,value1id2,value2,value2 I've search here and find some comments regarding this APÌ isn't working on Postman, so we tried via unix and get the same response, any thoughts in whats are we messing?

Hi Team,    I am new to the Targeting. what is this means "Adobe Target creates and maintains profiles for every individual user. This profile is stored on Target edge cluster and updated real-time." and is there any way that we can see these profiles in the Adobe Target? Thanks In AdvanceUma

My A/B Test activity has recently finished it's desired testing duration. I'm using Target Reporting as the reporting source. Before the activity was launched, I added some extra audiences for reporting such as "New Visitors" , "Returning Visitors", and two custom audiences: 'Mobile Visitors', and 'Desktop Visitors'.  The issue that I'm currently facing is now I want to see combined visitors who qualified as both ("New Visitor" or "Returning Visitor") AND "Mobile Visitor". Vice versa for "Desktop Visitors". However I'm concerned about the fact that my activity has already finished running, and that adding new audiences to the activity could potentially not display any new data that fits the criteria for the combined audiences that I want. Given that there are visitors who qualified for my existing audiences, and the activity has finished, If I were to create new audiences (e.g. - New Mobile Visitors, Returning Mobile Visitors, New Desktop Visitors, Returning Desktop

if we are showing the products in 3 different recommendation (eg: recommended for you, based on your last purchase, etc) to the logged-in user (A) on the homepage/landing page on m web, and if the same user logs in to the app, Target should be able to identify the user as user (A)  and the user should see the same products is recommended for you, based on your last purchase, etc as he saw on m web.how this can be achieved?

Working on updating Adobe to App Measurement and have noticed some issues with getting Test & Target to work on our lower level environments. 

Want to get the param value from the referringURL. Can anybody advise me on this? We get page param value like this page.param(paramName). How do we get the "paramName" if it is present in referringurl?

We have a requirement where client wants to show product recommendation across Omni Channel. Client has a data science team who creates the Model with the top 10 product information per customer and shares with Adobe Campaign and other systems to communicate with the customers. We want to use the same data to show the recommended models on Website (& Mobile later).So we were wondering if we can use Target. I know we can use imported custom attributes in Target or can upload profile information into target. Is it possible to use any of these information or some other options in Target to show the recommended products to the users based on the recommendation generated from outside model

Hi, I have created 2 different Experience Targeting Activities in Adobe Target. Both are located in the homepage, and both refers to the same element, which is a banner above the hero of the homepage (the banner has been added in the activity, not backed).  Experience Targeting 1: Show a message in the banner to all visitors who visits the homepage.Experience Targeting 2: Show a different message in the banner to visitors who have visited a product page and then return to the homepage (segment created in Analytics). The problem I'm facing now is that those banners shows up above each other, while I just want to show only one banner, given more priority to ET2 because it refers to a specific segment. I've given more priority to ET2, but I still have the problem. I also have tried creating a segment in Analytics, in which I exclude visitors who have visited the product page from all visitors, and then use this segment for ET1, but both banners still showing up. W

Hi there I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues/success with integrating Target into Salesforce Lightning(SFL)? We are trying to run some experiments/personalisation activities within SFL but are having issues with Target being able to modify elements on the page. Target scripts load successfully, and we have successfully injected some CSS onto pages, and modified styles, however DOM manipulations are something else entirely. There seems to be a lot of refreshing that happens with SFL and some sort of race condition seems to not allow Target to successfully modify the DOM. We have tried the following:Tried to load a SFL page into Target VEC with no luck (iframe refreshes SFL page constantly, never allowing us to select any elements)Tried targeting a HTML ID tag directly in VEC, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect on the SFL pageTried using triggerView() but I guess because the SPA isn’t loading into VEC, neither is the triggerView() function firingAs mentioned u

I'm starting to get into using Target with Web SDK and have encountered a problem with QA.My experiment is like this:There is a funnel of pages that users need to go through: A > B > CIf a user reloads page B, he gets sent back to page A. I.e. state is not retained at the current page. Likewise, if the user reloads page C, he gets sent back to page A.I am experimenting on page B. I can apply my modifications there successfully in VEC.Previously, with at.js, when I wanted to QA page B, I could append Target's QA parameters to page A's URL. Then when I arrived at page B, the expected modifications would be applied, i,e.Get the QA link for page B from Target.Open page A, appending the QA parameters "at_preview_token", "at_preview_index", and "at_preview_listed_activities_only" to page A's URL.Continue to page B.Expected result: Page B's modifications get applied.Actual result: Page B's modifications get applied.But I've found that this doesn't work with Web SDK, i.e.Get the QA

Hi there,  We are trying to load a test variant to the page but it's not displaying. Currently getting the error below in the console, the assets seem to be 404'ing out.  Wondering if anyone has had experience with this same issue?  "DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for https://PAGE/etc/designs/zg/PAGE-com-rebrand/desktop/js.asset.js/core/math.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE" Thanks in advance for the help! 

When I am setting the Targeting for Automated Personalization (AP), there used to be an option to select an optimization algorithm (this is about 2 years ago). The training videos from Adobe show this option clearly (see screengrab below of a similar video):  However, I am unable to see this option in Targeting section of AP anymore. Would anyone know whether Adobe removed this option? I did not find anything in the release notes. Or is there something in the settings that I need to fix. Below is the screengrab of what I see today (there is no option to select an algorithm) 

I have a sign up overlay on my site that appears after 5 seconds of the user being on the site.  I am trying to test a different CTA and I am having issues.  It is working fine in the composer, but the changes are not appearing in the QA links.  Is this something that would require custom code? This is the error I am seeing "Action could not be applied due to missing or invalid mbox name" 

Hi,  Having issues where we are seeing discrepancies in our Adobe Target A/B campaign that has been running for a few weeks. It went live at 100% of all users at a 50/50 split using the default all visitors audience. However our reporting in both Target and Analytics has been telling a different story and we have been seeing a lot more unique users in Experience A then Experience B. In summary this is an A/B test with no re-directs just injecting content in our B Experience. We originally saw the below over the course of the first week: We decided to stop the experience then duplicate it. However after a few weeks later we are still accounting the same issue although its started to level out, please see analytics results below: Does anyone know what could be the cause / reason behind this?As I would expect it to be closer than 42/58 Split.

Hello,I'm curious why the 'Rearrange content' functionality using the VEC does not always work? I'm able to select the component, begin to drag the component to a different location on the page, page highlights in yellow where I can drop component, but when I try to release my mouse and drop the component into the new location, it does not release.  I've tried a number of times with various components and I can't get the component to release and drop into the new location.Is there a keyboard shortcut I need to do or enabled by accident? Are there restrictions as to where I can move the componnet to? I thought this was typically identified by the yellow highlighted box, if the location doesn't highlight then I can't drop it there. I've used this feature before and its very powerful and easy so not sure why it doesn't always work. Please advise asap.Thanks,

I want to trigger a Target Activity after a user action on the page out of the page load. How is this possible? I can control the action with a directCall but how can it be triggered the activity from Adobe Target?

Hi All, What to understand the use of adobe.target.getOffers(), adobe.target.applyOffers(), adobe.target.trackEvent() and adobe.target.triggerView(). What is the difference between these calls. I gone through the documents provided by adobe but didnt how to use it based on our requirement.  Can someone give some usecase/scenarios where we can apply those calls ? Thanks in Advance Cheers 🙂
