I'd like some improvements to the calendar in workspaces that would increase quality of life / productivity:The ability to drag select a date range like in the Reports menu. I used this a great deal as it was the fastest way to select a short time periodThe ability to select a month or year title and it select that time frame immediately, again, like in the Reports menuThe ability to write the rolling date statement I want into two boxes, like report builder. e.g. cd-364d, cw-1d, cw-4w etc. When I edit a rolling date period, I want the start and end periods to show the current selection, rather than starting from a blank template of "Start of current day (none)", as shown below. If analytics already knows I've got 91 days selected, and it knows the start and end time, I'm sure it can figure out a statement, or even just record the statement in the date range. I'd expect that were #3 to be developed
Hi,I would like to raise a feature request relating to Adobe Analytics Data Feeds. Currently there is no option to move fields that have been added up and down in the list. For example, if I move post_evar30 into 10th position in the feed criteria but later decide I want it to be in column 30 having added many more variables, I need to remove them all and start again. This is very slow if you copy an existing feed and simply want to rearrange the order of the variables.Having a drag and drop UI for Data Feeds would be great. Thanks,Tom
It would be great if there were an easy way to find all calculated metrics/segments that use a specific variable or combination for variables. For example, if there are 200 calculated metrics, it would be nice if you could filter them to see only those that use event3 or event3 and event5.
By default, 30-something dimensions are excluded from Contribution Analyses that are run in Workspace. A few new dimensions should be added by default to remove noise:
Hi,there have been several report builder outages for us recently. Can you please provide some suggestions of how we can firefight situations like this?I.e. delete lower-prio scheduled reports or is there a quick way to convert ad-hoc format to reportbuilder format.... ? Issue: London Data Center was flooded with the huge report api requests.ReportBuilder is an important tool for us, but is not even mentioned on the status website? http://status.adobe.com/marketing_cloudRegardsStefanie
Hi,we want to give Adobe Analytics access to an external partner - with limited access to only a few metrics and dimensions. For this we created a virtual report suite, where we limited the access to one specific segment, created a product profile and a user profile. For those profiles we also specified only a few metrics that should be visible for the external partner. Unfortunately, while testing we discovered that the partner can also view all calculated metrics that are shared with "All users". This is currently a blocker for us - we do not want that the external partner can see all shared calculated metrics and can use them in Workspace. So the solution would be to only show the metrics and dimensions that have been specified for the virtual report suite and product profile.Thank you and best regardsPatrick
I have to set up a dynamic dashboard. But the current API just allows fix dates/datranges How can I make a query with a dynamic date/daterange (e.g. today, this month, last month, this year)???
As noted in this forum thread: Calculated Metrics for Cohort Analysis The specific use case I had was that I wanted to do a cohort analysis based on visitors that had viewed a specific piece of content. Ideally:A segment for visits that viewed that contentThat segment used in a calculated metric -- just the segment and then Visits as the metricThat calculated metric as my inclusion metricAlas! Not doable. So, it winds up being painful DW exports and stitching together of visitor IDs.-Tim Wilson
Right now in Workspace, the range of the scale for the line & bar charts is set by the tool automatically and is based on the data set being presented. While most of the time this is fine however when it comes to supporting metrics that have high occurrences of major outliers (like page load time) or high amount of volatility , the scale can get 'messed up' if a single outlier data point comes in. it would be preferred if we were able to 'overwrite' the automatic scale to whatever range we as business analyst feel would be best for our purposes. In the event that we set a scale and outlier data point comes in the 'normal trend' doesn't get obscured for by a single point. this applies a lot to the minute and hour charts as daily averages seems to be more normalized than micro time period data points.this would help my organization a lot because we regularly do nightly code releases that can momentarily impact the performance of the user experience
In Segment Manager and Calculated Metrics Manager, Adobe offers the possibility to approve metrics. However the approved metrics are not highlighted in anyway when using Workspace.E.g. if I have 2 calculated metrics with similar names, an icon to highlight the approved one would give users confidence that they are using the correct version.@
It would be great to have a link to the report automatically included in scheduled workspace report. Although it possible to generate a link to the report and include it in the report, the link is sometimes broken and require to be updated (eg. when they are changes in the workspace report)
Hello Adobe Community,I want to submit an idea about new Time ranges that could be calculated from a selected date. For exemple, If I select a week on the date selection ( let's say week 52 of 2016) , my custom time range should be calculated from date selection - and wouldbe week 51 - in order to make a week to week analysis on week 52. Time ranges can already be calculated from rolling dates, but cannot change whenever the date selection changes. These new time ranges could facilitate the analysis of past weeks or past months - since it would'nt be necessary to change all the time ranges from existing reports on rolling dates.Kind regards, and Cheers to the Adobe Community !Mario
Hello, the alerts listing always loses the applied filters when browsing between alerts.Which is very frustrating Steps to reproduce: within the Alerts components into AA, apply a filter (e.g. Other Filters --> Show all) open a filtersave it and go back to the filter list ==> you'll get the list without any filter appliedWould be amazing to save the applied filters when browsing. Thanks!Sebastiano
Filtering is pain, especially in Analysis Workspace, where there aren't regex options. It would be great to be able to handle filtering at the segment level. I propose adding a new container option called 'filter' or similar. This would do exactly what it says. Only show you data for items filtered within the segment. Because we have so many products and product categories on our site we are reliant on combinations of segments and dimension components to get the views we need. Having a segment that filters for you would save a lot of time and effort in building workspaces. We try to build templated workspaces where all that needs to be replaced is the segment. however, because we have to rely on the filter or a dimension value, we must take more steps to design the report.Michael
I was referring this page browserWidth , as per this document browserWidth will be setup before "doPlugin" but this is not correct for AppMeasurement. It was working fine for s_code.
In a previous post (http://ideas.omniture.com/t5/Idea-Exchange-for-Adobe/Segment-Toggle-quot-Normal-Exclude-qu ot-Feature/idi-p/14612) I mentioned it would be great to basically have a quick negative segment creation. It appears as if Adobe figured this logic out with the "Everyone Else" feature with Segment Comparison. While, Segment Comparison is nice, it really seems to give limited results outside of "next steps to investigate". For instance, it will give me a weight of say 0.20 for Mobile visitors and tell me, "hey this metric is important" but then I have to go investigate that and then to truly understand that metric, i have to create an "Everything else Metric" to continue this investigation. Where I think this becomes truly applicable is going to my own freeform table and being able to drop the segment of I am investigating and then be able to have the ability to select the segment, right clicking it, and have an option to negate the segment, which would be the same as "Everyone Else". This would be helpful because I could then do analysis on the metrics actual number and not on the algorithmic number by Adobe. Stakeholders want real numbers, not an algorithmic number. thanks,Mike
It would be useful to be able to have the option to see ranking maintained when applying a filter or segment to a report. With so many pages, we have to do a Data Warehouse export to Excel to be able to search for a page and see how it ranks.
Hi I am one of the people who still use Ad Hoc more than Workspace. I do like Workspace, but there is one main reason for my love to Ad Hoc.When I search within my thousands of segments, it does not matter whether I write "Car sale" or "Sale Car" as search phrase in Ad Hoc. It will find the stuff nevertheless. In Workspace I have to remember exactly what order my segments are named. This is such a big difference for someone playing around with thousands of segments. I do have namestructures on them, but the order can be difficult to recall at times. Did I put the "." before or after "Sweden" for example.Anyway. Please update the workspace search box so that it does this as well as Ad HocMichael
Adobe Analytics User A is leaving their position. User A has created some segments and workspaces. Some of these workspaces are scheduled to be delivered to multiple people on the first of each month. Today we are able to transfer User A's workspaces and segments to User B, but not the Scheduled Projects (aka the scheduled delivery of the pdf/csv of the workspace). If a new person wants to also receive one of User A's projects on the first of the month, User B can schedule the delivery of the project. If a current recipient wants to be removed from the list, or if the report delivery date needs to change, User B cannot do so. Only the Adobe Analytics Admin can make these changes. It would be great if we could transfer Scheduled Projects from one user to another, just like workspaces, segments and reports.
