Solved

Our customer wants to be able to see tree nodes in alphanumeric order in the pathfield dialog from the 'redirect' field on the siteadmin page properties dialog. I found an article here - http://experience-aem.blogspot.com/2014/04/aem-cq-56-sort-tree-nodes-of-browse-dialog-pathfield.html - that shows what appears to be a pretty simple solution to what our customer wants. I've been struggling with this for a couple of days but can't seem to find the right solution to add the listener described in the article to the built-in siteadmin page. I tried copying /libs/foundation/component/page component to /apps/foundation/component/page and applying the listener and additional javascript there but that didn't work. What is the best way to accomplish what I need?

Hi, I just tried to setup Reverse Replication for the Geometrixx and Geometrixx Outdoors communities in AEM 6.1No comments or blog posts were reverse replicated by default.  This worked fine in AEM6.0 or earlier.  Is there something else I need to do with the updates to Social Communities in 6.1?Thanks,Tim

We are using paging to avoid loading all records at same time. However, when we execute the query to get top 25 rows, it still returns all the rows (6000) and shows 25. But then it makes no sense since it's taking around 44 seconds for first query. How to optimize it?sample query is below. First query execution time is 44 sec. Subsequent is around 5. But still seems v high for such a query. Anything we need to change here to speed it up?path=/content/imf/publishedDocumentstype=nt:unstructuredorderby=@documentDateorderby.sort=descp.offset=0p.limit=25

I want to embed Activation Rules in AEM web pages. How can i do that?

Hi,Typically I would use run modes to separate OSGi system configurations per environment and all in the one package, this has worked well. However a security team has raised concern around storing Production configurations alongside dev/sit configurations, and want to externalise those configurations into a separate folder outside CQ, then load them (potentially by adding a classpath parameter).Has anyone attempted a similar setup, and/or how have you achieved a result with similar constraints? Cheers

Hi Everyone,I am currently working on integrating the In Design CC server 2015 with aem 6.0. The OOTB functionality i.e., processing of In design document when uploaded to dam, and generation of page looks pretty straight forward. However, the end result i.e., the Page is losing all the styles. As I understand, IDMLExtractionHandler Class is responsible for parsing the generated IDML file and creating cq page. This class covers the basic requirement of mapping indd file's Text Frame to text component and Images to Image component. Can you please let me know if you have ideas around generating the page by keeping design/document layout intact? Thanks,Harini

I included adaptive image component in another component.  I do not want this div to be generated if the image is not authored.how can i use data-sly-test in this context?<div class="col-content-inner">                <div data-sly-resource="${@path='adaptiveimage', resourceType='/apps/mda/components/content/adaptiveimage'}">                </div>

I'm interested in customizing the component browser, primarily to reduce the emphasis on the colored bars. I've seen customizations for the asset finder, so I'm guessing it's possible; can anyone point me to an example for the component browser? Thanks

HiIn CQ 5.5 we connected to the ldap jmx bean via: javax.management.MBeanServer.getClassLoaderFor("com.adobe.granite.ldap:host=localhost,port=10389,type=Tools")e.g. for the operation syncAllExternalUsers(), which worked fine. Now with AEM 6.1 I try to use the new JMX Bean via:javax.management.MBeanServer.getClassLoaderFor("org.apache.jackrabbit.oak:handler=mySyncHandler,idp=ldap")but I get the following exception:javax.management.InstanceNotFoundException:org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.spi.security.authentication.external.impl.jmx.SynchronizationMBean:handler=mySyncHandler,idp=ldapIf I run the syncAllExternalUsers() manually via AEM Web Console, the function works fine. I also tried to connect to the bean with org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.spi.security.authentication.external.impl.jmx.SynchronizationMBean:handler=mySyncHandler,idp=ldap .Does anyone have an idea, how I an call the new bean in AEM 6.1?Thanks alotReto

Hello !I have an issue with some bundle who remain inactivated (let's call it BundleX) because of an unresolved package import on a specific version of Google Guava. Guava is actually present in the OSGI container, but with a version that satisfy another dependency of the project (MyBundle). So I have:project-content-package-> MyBundle    -> Guava:15.0 ( I do need this version for some features)-> BundleX    - Guava:r06 (r06 < 15.0. I don't have the control on this bundle) When making my content package, I'd like to embed all osgi dependencies, and to solve my problem, embed the two guava versions. As we know, OSGi supports multiple versions of packages deployed at the same time.Until now, in my AEM content package pom configuration, I had:<plugin> <groupId>com.day.jcr.vault</groupId> <artifactId>content-package-maven-plugin</artifactId> <configuration> <embeddeds combine.children="append"> <embedded> <groupId>com.google.

Hi,I have a component , which it is used in multiple pages.I need the list of pages, in which the component is used. How to search for that? ThanksArun

According to the doc the sesion's save() method can throw InvalidItemStateException exception. It means that some item that was modified in current session also was modified from other thread and already saved. The transient space of the session cannot be savedThe quesion is what is a best practice in such case? Some code would be really appriciated. I cannot find any examples

If the fileupload widget is used more than once inside AEM 6.0 Touch UI dialog, only the first instance works although each fileupload occurence has unique node for file parameters. Why? Using fileupload inside a multifield is not a solution as each fileupload should have a different label inside a same dialog.

I have adapted the   List component to count a number of pages from a list of recipe pagescreated by authors under /content/en/all-recipes I start to count how many pages sit under /content/en/all-recipes as follows     %><cq:include script="init.jsp"/><%    Integer pageCounter = 0;    List list = (List)request.getAttribute("list");    if (!list.isEmpty()) {        int z = list.size();        list.size() returned a correct count of the number of recipes I had until I reached a number of recipes > 100. Now I have 170 recipe pages and count is still 100. I tested in CRXDE lite how many pages there is usingSELECT * FROM [cq:Page] AS s WHERE ISDESCENDANTNODE(s,'/content/en/all-recipes')RegardsClive Stewart

Hi,Am planning to use jenkins to build and deploy the packages & services in AEM 6.1.When i refer this site. : https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/CRX+Content+Package+Deployer+Plugin).It says "Deploys content packages to Adobe CRX applications, like Adobe CQ 5.4, CQ 5.5, and AEM 5.6. Also allows downloading packages from one CRX server and uploading them to one or more other CRX servers."1) Will the above plugin works in AEM 6.1 too?2) Can you let me know is there any reference url to build and deploy though jenkins. ThanksSiva.

- Added a new user with having same permissions as other users. - login to the Author instance and open a content to edit. - Changed to the "Design mode" to add few components in to the sidekick. But can't see our custom "allowed component group" that were expected to see. We can see the "Generic" but not the custom group that we have added. - But other users can see that our custom "Allowed component group". Only one user has this problem.- Is this a permission issue or something else ? Thanks
