Solved

When I edit the metadata of an image and save it, we get a new version created automatically. But for the same action done for videos, we do not get the versions automatically. Can you please help me with the solution. I have installed FFMPEG and that is helping me in getting the renditions. I am using AEM 6.0

Is there an AEM plugin for SAS Intelligent Advertising? If yes, does this plugin work in AEM 5.6.1 ?

Hi All,Last paragraph in article below says :https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/LoadingOrderFelixConfig.html "Please note: saving configuration directly via the Felix Console is stored in the filesystem, not in the repository. This is also the case if a repository-based configuration is modified via the Felix Console: these changes are not saved back into the repository and will not be applied on the next restart of the system."- Is this applicable to 5.6.1 version too?-But I have seen that configuration changes made via Felix console remain intact even after restart. I am getting confused here.

Hi, I am having issue with both the authoring and publishing instance while serving content, i have a product page for which i am passing in the material id the material id has forward slash in it ,so the request goes in as/content/product/MD102LL%2FAbut sling is resolving it to /content/product/MD102LL/A/ and not returning the page.Is there any setting on the server that i need to turn on .

Hello  All,I have installed publisher instance without any issues but once it's up and running it's redirecting to "http://localhost:4503/content/geometrixx-outdoors/en.html",i does want this and wants to be redirected to login page like author instance. Are there configuration changes needs to be done to achieve this, please help me.Thanks,Kishore

Hi, We can activate a page by 2 ways. 1. using workflows 2. directly from siteadmin. If we activate a page from siteadmin (if the assets on the page are not activated) it asks to activate those assets as well. We can select to activate the assets or not from the dialog box. Now my question is, can we do the same thing using workflow ? if we activate a page using workflow, it only activates the page. Can we activate the page and the contained assets using the same workflow ?

Hello,I have started writing the first dialog with Granite UI. We have multifields in the dialog, they are working but the layout looks bad. The color scheme of dark and light backgrounds is not so interesting to the authors. I can override the css for that but was hoping to find if there is any property by which i can change the color scheme of the layout. Also, there is a request for changing the width and height for the dialog. I looked at the documentation, but couldn't find anything interesting. Is it all fixed layout?. I know you can enlarge the dialog where you can see full screen to edit but is there a way you can change the layout implicitly by proving height and width parameters in dialog definition?Cheers

I have created sling:OsgiConfig nodes inside config folders like config.author, config.publish and so on. I am trying to fetch properties from these nodes by doing something like this:public static List fetchTokenLinksFromOsgiConfig(final SlingHttpServletRequest slingRequest) throws IOException { List<String> tokenlinksList = new ArrayList<String>(); SlingBindings bindings = (SlingBindings) slingRequest.getAttribute(SlingBindings.class.getName()); log.info("=================inside fetchTokenLinksFromOsgiConfig======================"+bindings); SlingScriptHelper sling = bindings.getSling(); Configuration conf = sling.getService(org.osgi.service.cm.ConfigurationAdmin.class).getConfiguration("com.myuhc.TokenLinksConfig"); log.info("=================inside fetchTokenLinksFromOsgiConfig:::taking configurations======================"); String myuhcTokenId = (String) conf.getProperties().get("MyUHCTokenId"); String myuhcTokenSecret = (String) conf.getProperties().get("MyUHCTokenSe

Hi All,Using AEM as an intranet portal  - following are my thoughts on enabling role based menu navigation for end user - some links hidden for certain roles / some links disabledoption 1 - client context would be my recommendation any view on this or any other better?1) use the client context with custom role trait and deliver teaser (pre authored with multiple menus for the different roles) - gives the content author to realize the experience and extensible for additional roles2) use JavaScript based function checks along with css hide/show - needs a code change every time3) try it using server side - like role based checks on jsp/jstl. but if these pages are cached then big issue4) create menu links as content fragments and tag with separate role based etc/tags and use a servlet json to fetch the links (on ajax) and do a client side layoutcan we still cache the pages with dynamic menu ?

Hi All,Currently I have this kind of layout. Inside one parsys we have one column control, inside column control we have one more column control in which I have put a text image component. When I put the component inside the nested column control it is not able to search it, if I put the same component inside column control which is just inside parsys then it shows up. Is there a way to make the querybuilder search more deeper?I have seen the documentation for query builder and it talks about p.nodedepth but it also does not seem to work.https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-6-1/dam/customizing_and_extendingcq5dam/query_builder.html This is my original querypath=/contenttype=cq:Pagefulltext=testTextI have tried adding nodedepth propertypath=/contenttype=cq:Pagefulltext=testTextp.hits=fullp.nodedepth=5Thanks!Shehjad

Hello team,In the past when we publish pages with links to other pages that are yet to be published, the links are usually displayed as text (inactive) since the pages are not live. When i recently pulish pages. The pages have internal and side links (Link List Curated content module) to pages that are yet to be published. Instead of the text (inactive) link, the links are shown as broken.Appreciate your help with this, as this is the only way to publish and test pages gradually and we don't want to go back and modify the links manually on the pages that are active. Thanks,Madhu

Hi, We have a requirement to cache mp4 videos and pdf files in dispatcher but we face below issue while caching videos Issue description -----------------------------the renditions are getting generated for video/pdf files once it is uploaded to AEM.Video thumbnails are displayed on the page and our requirement is to open PDFs / run video once the  user clicks on the thumbnail image. So now lets say the video name is myvideo.mp4 and the thumbnails rendition of the video is getting cached in the dispatcher and the path for the thumbnail image is /docroot/a/myvideo.mp4/renditions/videoName.cq5.<thumbnail ratio>.pngso now myvideo.mp4 directory has been created in the dispatcher and because of this, the actual video is not getting cached. What is the solution to this issue?

Hi all,I am creating the sitemap structure for a complex multi-lingual site. It will be based on the MSM using blueprint and live copies. I have already designed all the structure but, I am facing an issue. Here I go:I have created a master copy which is the skeleton of my blueprint (OOTB blueprint template). Then, I create a new site by using the created blueprint (public-copy) which rolling-out configuration is empty to inherit the blueprint's rolling-out config. The blueprint config is the OOTB standard roll-out and when I create some pages within the master copy and click the roll-out option over it (checking the checkbox roll-out all sub-pages), it does not push the changes to the public-copy (live copy based on the blueprint whose source path is the master-copy).Any idea why the rolling-out action is not working? Many thanks in advance, Salva.

I have the dispatcher configured to point publish. Whenever I am publishing a page , the dispatcher invalidates the cache . I don't want the dispatcher to delete the cache immediately. I commented /invalidate , but still it is deleting the cache file.

I wanted to know whether AEM 5.6.1 OOTB Form components would support for responsive web design (device compatible) or in other words , can they align themselves to the application level front end responsive framework ? Thanks,Kashyap
