Hello,Does CRX repository supports transactions? If yes, could you please provide example.Thanks.

I am trying to process the LAST item in a findResources query differently from all others, but I can't fugure out how to do that. Here is a code snippet that I'm trying out (findResources returns THREE 'telephone' objects in my JCR) :-<sling:findResources query="/jcr:root ${currentPage.path} //*[${tagCriteria} @sling:resourceType = 'avivapocs/components/telephone']" language="xpath" var="resources" /> <c:forEach var="telephoneResource" items="${resources}"> <c:choose>             <c:when test="${resources}.hasNext()">                 DO SOMETHING WITH ALL OTHER telephone resource ITEMS             </c:when>             <c:otherwise>                 DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH THE LAST telephone resource ITEM             </c:otherwise>         </c:choose> </c:forEach>But the 'otherwise' path is chosen in ALL cases.Anyway, I am a bit stumped .. so any advice would be welcome.RegardsFraser.

This is to follow up from this post:http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manager.topic.html/forum__ibm7-hi_we_are_moving.htmlThe ordering issue can be overcome by using the @import for variable or mixin files. However this still causes issues as the main LESS files are only re-compiled when they change. i.e. if you change the variables file you have to change all the files that reference it to get the changes to propagate - would be great to hear if anyone has a solution to this.

Hi Administrators,I had a discussion going on in the forum with title as something like "Workflow : notifications". Lot many people had even given their viewpoints on this. However, all of a sudden, I am not able to see it.Can you please help me out with this.

Hi,I had a couple of questions regarding deletion and deactivation of nodes. Is there an API call for both deleting and deactivating a node?Apart from event handling options, are there any other ways to configure CQ5 so that when descendants of a node N are added/remove/changed on an author instance, the changes are synced to the publish instance? For example by using a special property on the node?

what about : http://www.sightly.io/  ? still down :-/

I using CQ5.6.1 and CRX 2.4.23.In workspace.xml, i have set autoOptimizaAt as "" (empty string).<PersistenceManager class="com.day.crx.persistence.tar.TarPersistenceManager">    <param name="autoOptimizeAt" value="" /></PersistenceManager> But it still continue running and it dint stop after default time.Do i need set the same config for repository.xml?I want to temporary stop run TarPM.

Why, on my instances, don't I have access to the package share section?I have a 404 on /crx/packageshare/

I recently read a great article on apache sling models and I thought I would try to put it to use in AEM 5.6.1 but I am having trouble getting the dependecies and maven-bundle-plugin settings just right. Has anyone else tried this with success?

Hi All,I wanted to write a code as below[Out Of the box AEM 5.6.1]:- When the number of stale workflows in the system exceeds a particular number(for example say 5),notification has to be sent out to some concerned email inbox/distribution list, stating that the number of stale workflows has exceeded the count of 5.I visited few forums and I was told the below:1] you can use JCR observation to achieve that. 2] Another way is to use scheduling in Sling. Can anyone provide additional inputs/pointers/relevant examples. Would be helpful.

Hello, gurusPlease, let me know where I can get AEM 6 beta release.  The official preview page http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/pre-release/overview.html has no links/references on obtaining beta release.  We have AEM 5.6 licensed and available for download on Adobe licensing site.  Do you know the ETA of version 6 general release?Thank you,Mike Venford

Hi, our company is new to CQ5.We have blog post pages, and part of their data is title, hero image and short description of the blog post.We want to pull that data (I assume it lives in /content folder in the JCR) and put it into other components we use around the site. Specifically we want a sort of "blog sneak peak" component that can go on any page and links to the whole blog post. Surely that's right up CQ's alley, but we're not sure how. Can someone layout the general process we'd use to do this? To us it seems strange to have to use an API to access this data.Regards,Roneesh

Last week we encountered a bug that took us a few days to fix. We had accidentally named an nt:folder node config and non-admin users didn't have read access to its children. Interestingly this node name had been chosen by one of our CQ5 experts. After struggling for hours and tearing apart all our provisioning scripts, the same person who had caused the bug had a light-bulb moment and remembered that CQ5 treats nodes named config in a special manner.Had the node been rendered with a special icon in CQ5, it would have probably saved us a couple of days (and a few thousand dollars) worth of investigations. As such I think CQ5 should render special nodes with special icons that instantly convey the message that, well, they are special. Thanks in advance. PLUS: My profile's activity page has not been updated in the past couple of months or so. Also a couple of the messages I had recently posted have vanished from the forum. Please fix!

Hi All,I am trying out basic code examples in 5.6.1 AEM instance. For example, I was trying the article "http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/programmatically-accessing-cq-content-using.html" and it requires eclipse, jackrabbit standalone jar and it works fine. However, if I have to try some other basic code examples, I am not at all getting how do I do it.I have local maven repository, eclipse. I could follow as it is the article http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-custom-aem-workflow-steps.html.1] But in case I have to write my own code[say some custom workflow code], should I follow the same steps as mentioned in http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-custom-aem-workflow-steps.html[excepting that replace the java code with mine].2] The reason I am having problem is if I make use of the above step, in eclipse it doesn''t give me the intelli-sense option and also it throws error against every line[irrespective of the code being correct or

Hi.What should I do to save the host during url mapping? For example, I have link on the page: http://localhost:4502/content/geometrixx/en.html. Hi,Can someone help me on how to connect to a Mbean in CQ from SCOM  .Just like it is done for tomcat.   It would be great if someone can provide me the format of the xml that is used to connect to Mbean in CQ from SCOM.

Adobe Experience Manager, Version 5.6.1.20130606. We are invoking CQ Garbage Collection with delete=true to reduce the size of crx-quickstart/repository, however GC hangs and has no impact on the disk usage.  We have tried invoking GC from the CQ JMX UI and from a curl command line:curl -v -u admin:password --data "delete=true" 'http://localhost:8880/system/console/jmx/com.adobe.granite%3Atype%3DRepository/op/runDataStoreGarbageCollection/java.lang.Boolean'After a few minutes, the CQ error.log shows "com.day.crx.persistence.tar.utils.DataStoreGarbageCollector Scan completed" and there is no more GC-related logging afterwards.  The curl command never completes, and apparently nothing has changed inside the repository on the filesystem. Please help us figure out how to make GC work here, thanks!

For Example:aem.domain.co.uk - configured as virtual host - uses dispatcher-handler and uses 'dispatcher.any' for configurationauthor.domain.co.uk - configured as virtual host - uses dispatcher-handler and uses 'author_dispatcher.any' for configurationI have tried this in various combinations as follows:apache.conf - all normal <IfModule dispatcher> statement with the default settings.aem.domain.co.uk - use the <Directory /> with the <IfModule> and set-handler declarationauthor.domain.co.uk - same as above.each of the virtual host tries to override the DispatcherConfig parameter - but this doesnt seem to work?Is there a way to achieve this?

can we use apache camel osgi in adobe cq? if yes how?

Hi All,In my OOTB AEM 5.6.1 instance, I want to have few stale workflows.I am not getting how to do this. Any detailed thoughts/pointers/ideas here would be really helpful.Few people had given good feedback[it was at a very high level] on one of the discussion that I had raised here, but unfortunately it is missing due to some technical issues  , which the admin team is working on.

Hi,I want to fetch DAM asset from JCR and obtain inputstream for a node or for an asset so that I can read that asset. I have implemented below code.querybuilder = resource.getResourceResolver().adaptTo(QueryBuilder.class);Query query = querybuilder.createQuery(PredicateGroup.create(map), session);SearchResult result = query.getResult();for (Hit ht : result.getHits()) {                        try {                path = hit.getPath();            } catch (RepositoryException e) {                e.printStackTrace();            }            Resource assetResource = resourceResolver.getResource(path);            Asset asset = assetResource.adaptTo(Asset.class);}I am able to fetch Asset object but I am not able to get InputStream out of that. I dont want to use deprecated method as follows jcrContent.getProperty("jcr:data").getStream(); Can anyone please guide me how I can obtain InputStream object for an Asset?  Or please share some code snippet for fetching image(DAM Asset) from JCR and r
