Hi,We are trying to override the functionality of the sidekick preview button so as to allow the page to reload on preview. Presently we have done it via overriding the /libs/wcm/core/components/init/init.jsp to explicitly add the property ' previewReload:"true" '. Is there some better approach to handle it which will be forward compatible with both AEM 6.0 and 6.1 ?

Hi All,We have a requirement where we didn't want to display the Target and New option in Edit Configuration to the Author. One way to doing so is overriding the Editbase.js and move it under /apps/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/wcm/EditBase.js.This way the js file residing under apps will be picked. The issue with the above approach is that we always need to manually update the file w.r.t to the AEM version \ change. It will be helpful if somebody let us know if their is any configuration by which we can disable these options or any property in cq:Editconfig node by which this can be achieved. Thanks in advance,Shikha

Hello,I've been trying to get the cq:InplaceEditing to modify an attribute of my choosing.  By default, it modifies the "text" property in the JCR.  I read the following article which claims that you can change the attribute the InplaceEditing modifies:http://www.prolistingservice.com/theblog/post/Configuring-the-AEM-Title-Editor-for-In-place-Editing.aspxI decided to choose the attribute to modify based on a JCR node in a configPath.  When I modified the dialog, though, it still would only modify the "text" attribute instead of an attribute with the name that I wanted.  I specified the attribute I wanted to modify in the "textPropertyName" attribute in the node inside of the configPath. This is a picture of my InplaceEditingConfig: This is a picture of the JCR Node at the configPath specified in the InplaceEditingConfig:Finally, this is a picture of the JCR tree containing the two items above:Any idea why it on

Hi all,I am working with an AEM setup running multiple sites. Lets call them "Site A" and "Site B". There are multiple Groups within the organization. Lets call them "Group 1" and "Group 2". Within the organization people are assigned to a group and a site. An individual might belong to "Site B" and "Group 1".The workflow wants to target specific Groups. Example: Step 1 goes to Group 1 for approval, then Step 2 goes to Group 2 and then finally gets activated. The desire is when workflows get started for content on Site A, Step 1 only goes to people belonging to both "Site A" and "Group 1".I am trying to avoid having to manage "Site A - Group 1" groups within AEM for management reasons. In looking at the Workflow implementation they need to be assigned to a specific principal. That seems to rule out the possibility of dynamically pulling the list of people in both groups. My best idea is to have a dynamic participant step chooser that, base on the payload, would populate a group like "Sit

I've created an OSGI component to be used in my application. I also want to control the values in the component using run modes.I would like to know how to create the xml representation of the OSGI component that is placed in the JCR inside specific run mode folders. As soon as the component is activated there is a file created under /apps/system/config but this is not an xml representation.Where can I get the xml version of the component or is there any way to create the xml representation of the component?Appreciate all leads.

Hi All,https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-6-1/deploying/configuring_osgi.html mentions the below :For Adobe CQ Web consolea] Any configurations made with the Web Console are applied immediately and applicable to the current instance, irrespective of the current run mode, or any subsequent changes to the run mode. For content nodes(sling:osgiConfig) in the repositoryb] Any appropriate configurations are applied immediately (dependent on the run mode). So, is it something like when changes are done via web console, they are applied immediately and when done via content nodes there are some factors involved?Any thoughts on this will be helpful.

As our team migrates toward a Continuous Delivery model (wherein we deploy our continuous integration branch to production several times a day), we find ourselves pushing code for features that pass all of our tests and criteria, but still aren't quite ready for prime time. As a simple example, let's say we're working on a new component, and we're half-way through its development. The code for this component will be pushed live to production as part of our continuous integration / continuous delivery strategy, but we don't actually want the component to appear in the AEM sidekick on the production environment yet because it's not 100% finished. (It should be available on the development environments for engineers to test and develop, however.) In this sense, we'd like the visibility of this component to depend on the environment configuration using the same code base.Another example: We may make a modification to an existing component which includes adding a new dialog tab to it, but w
