Hello,I need to create a calendar where users on publish instance can create events. What makes it harder - I need it to be moderated.I used a standart CQ component calendar (/libs/collab/calendar) for that purpose+workflows.I have implemented two workflows which allow to moderate event creation. But I feel it will be much harder to implement a workflow for moderating event modification/delition. Do you know if it is possible to let users on publlish instance only create calendar events, but not modify/delete?  Thanks,Ievgen

Hi,Can anyone help..Will Indexing makes an impact of publishing the pages..I am getting the frozen node exception while pushing the data.. Thanks.

Hi! In CQ5.5, I can configure the workflow job retry configuration value by copying a file named 'com.day.cq.workflow.impl.CQWorkflowService.config' in my config.<runmode> nt:folder, with this line of text: cq.workflow.job.retry=I"0"(Please note that the parameter is an integer, and CRXDELite can't create an integer property, so the .config file method is a workaround)I've tried to do the same in AEM5.6.1. I've noticed that this configuration parameter is placed in 'com.adobe.granite.workflow.core.WorkflowSessionFactory' instead of in 'com.day.cq.workflow.impl.CQWorkflowService', so, I placed a file with name 'com.adobe.granite.workflow.core.WorkflowSessionFactory.config', with the same line of text. I can see in OSGI console that the parameter is changed. But this method doesn't work. The workflows still retries 3 times (default value).  Any advise? Thank you very much!

What are all additional features are available in Scene7 in comparison to CQ5 DAM?

Hi All, We want to develop websites which are compliance with Responsive Web site using AEM 5.6.1. What are the best and efficient scripting languages can be considered and suggested to develop webpages for this kind of websites.Designed websites are going to be viewed fro Desktops,Mobile and Tabs. Please suggest in this regard. Thanks,Kishore

I inherited some code from another agency that looks like thisif (WCMMode.fromRequest(request) != WCMMode.EDIT && WCMMode.fromRequest(request) != WCMMode.DESIGN && null != componentContext ) { componentContext.setDecorate(false); componentContext.setDecorationTagName(""); componentContext.setDefaultDecorationTagName(""); }to prevent CQ from auto-generating divs around components. It's in the page's body.jsp, and seems to affect the entire site. I like the results I've seen - are there any gotchas I should be aware of?

I am sorry but I really find no way to get the Adobe Experience Managerexcuse me, where to download/buy it?

What I want to do is a workflow for approval of Events in a Calendar created on publish instance by our users. So, there is a calendar. Some user adds new event there. I want the event not to appear in the calendar immediately, but only after admin approval. How I want to achieve it:1) Create a workflow which starts on AddEvent event. This workflow: reverse-replicates the event (now we have this event on author), deactivates page (now we don't have this event on publish), waits for admin approval. If positive ->activates page (now we have this event on publish again). 2) Create a workflow launcher which launches the workflow on AddEvent event on publish. The problem which I face is that my workflow doesn't start when I create an Event on publish instance. It starts without any problems on author instance though.question 1: is it possible to approve user-generated content using above listed workflow?question 2: how to make my workflow start when event was created on publish instance?

Using the VLT import command:    import -v|-s|--sysview <uri> <local-path> <jcr-path>e.g.:    vlt --log-level ERROR import -v --sysview <uri> sysview.xml /content/import-test/sysviewI can import a SysView doc and mount the nodes it contains at the correct point. But if I re-run the import I just get the error:[ERROR] import: javax.jcr.ItemExistsException: /content/import-test/sysview/<subnode_name>which surprises me.- Will the SysView import only import into empty structures?- Is there any way of overwriting with the SysView? And, whilst on the subject of SysView- Why doesn't VLT have a SysView export function? Thanks for your help. EDIT: everyone's gone very quiet: is there no solution?

Hello.  I am running into problems enabling caching on a AEM 5.6.1 site that is being developed for my company by a third party.  The site has custom authentication.  Authenticated and non-authenticated users access the same pages.  The authenticated users have access to cart (i.e. document and product bookmarking) functionality. The documentation indicates that the Dispatcher will not return cached versions of a page if "[t]he authentication header is set".  It also states that "this can be configured" but provides absolutely no detail on how.  I can see in the header requests that our site id not using the basic HTTP authentication header.  It does create and pass a cookie for authenticated users.  Given the setup, how do I get the Dispatcher to not return cached versions for authenticated users?

It is only working for en_us but it is not working for other language like en_gb.Steps that I had tried to solve the problem:1. Added custom servlet SpellCheckServlet.java to my code.2. Added spellcheck plugin in RTE.3. Added “spellcheckerUrl” property to spellcheck plugin in the rte of my custom component with custom servlet path as its value.                E.g.: “/bin/en_gb/spellcheck”[Reference: http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-4/widgets-api/index.html?class=CQ.form.rte.plugins.SpellCheckerPlugin] 4. I am not able to call my custom servlet.Every time default spellchecker servlet of Cq5 is called (e.g. "/libs/cq/ui/rte/spellcheck").Question 1: How can i bypass this default OOB servlet call and call my servlet?Question 2: Any other solution to fix this issue?

Hi,We have migrated the CQ5.4 to AEM 5.6.1 and our publish server is changed too (https://old_publish_server.com/content/...  ->  https://new_publish_server.com/content/...).There are thousands of PDF/DOC files that may contain the links pointing to the old publish server. Is there an efficient way (or scripts) to do the global search and replace the old url with the new one? Thanks in advanceJim

Hi,I want to add an error page to a CQ5 project. In normal circumstances I would add<error-page><exception-type>java.lang.Throwable</exception-type><location>/error.jsp</location></error-page> to the web.xml and in the error.jsp insert the <%@ page isErrorPage="true" %> How do I do it in CQ5?Thank you.Cheers,Viren.

Hi,I have created a component which uses some content from different page. As reference paragraph stores the absolute path of the referenced content, my component stores relative path. For example if reference component stores “/content/mysite/en_uk/home/jcr:content/par/hero/linktext”  then my component will store path “par/hero/linktext”.The reason for this is we have multiple sites and for each of them this page path can be different. So I have created full URL in the backend by using SlingRequest and determining its parent by using absoluteParent method.  But when I am using timewarp functionality the path returned is /jcr:System/42/56/34/5....." instead of "/content/mysite...", which is expected, but this breaks ,my logic. Is there an OOTB way to get the natural path starting with /content/mysite instead? ThanksMayank

Hello,Based on the requirement i have the workflow attached below.Questions i have are:1. At the step: Review (Custom participant step returning dynamic group name) as shown in the snapshot, could i avoid sending notifications to user's email ID(user or users belonging to the group), but still have task notification in AEM Inbox?2. At the branching step, along with Approve, could i have a step "Cancel", which in turn does nothing but takes it back to previous step, i.e "Review" (above). Doing this i would still like to have the task notification generated above in user's AEM inbox pushing it to "Review " stage. Please let me know. Thanks,Nicole

Hi All,1) I have set up the eclipse workspace for CQ and just started doing some code. I am using and import on my java file import com.day.cq.wcm.api.Page; on which I am getting an error "The import com.day.cq.wcm.api cannot be resolved". Is there any dependency I will have to define for this in the pom.xml file. I have already defined :<dependency> <groupId>com.day.cq</groupId> <artifactId>cq-commons</artifactId> <version>5.6.2</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>com.day.cq.wcm</groupId> <artifactId>cq-wcm-commons</artifactId> <version>5.6.2</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>com.day.cq.wcm</groupId> <artifactId>cq-wcm-api</artifactId> <version>5.6.2</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency>but no luck yet.2) There's another question

Hi all, according to the doc, the content-package-maven-plugin has a new feature "mode" which sounds extremely helpful. However, when I use it, it's not working as expected.Does anybody have experience with this? The META-INF/vault/filter.xml generated by the maven plugin looks ok:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <workspaceFilter version="1.0"> <filter root="/apps/dummy/dummyMerge" mode="merge"> <include pattern="/apps/dummy/dummyMerge(/.*)" /> </filter> <filter root="/apps/dummy/dummyReplace"> <include pattern="/apps/dummy/dummyReplace(/.*)" /> </filter> <filter root="/apps/dummy/dummyUpdate" mode="update"> <include pattern="/apps/dummy/dummyUpdate(/.*)" /> </filter> </workspaceFilter>However, when installed, the following things are not the way I'd expect them:- update and replace behave identically: when I delete a file or a property, mode "update" deltes this from the repo- merge addes new files to the repo,

We have some urls in cq5 which doesn't have extensions(.html - done through vanity urls). The Apache dispatcher is not caching these pages, plz suggest on this.Regards,Susheel

I was asked to configure our CQ v5.6.1 authoring instance so that it would always land an author in the classic UI.  I did that via the appropriate configuration change in Felix configurations.  Now there are a couple of authors that want to explore use of the touch UI.  Is there a way for a user whose already in the classic UI to get back to the touch UI?I have read in the documentation that authors have functionality to configure there own personal preference for their UI but it seems to me the only access to that functionality is through the touch UI which my current set-up is set to more-or-less ensure no author sees.I already asked if they just would rather I set the instance wide default back to the touch UI but the answer was no because they don't want to have to educate all the authors as to how to work with the touch UI even if it's just to show them how to get out of it or set their default personal UI preference.  I did tell them that I'm kind of getting the feeling that the
