Has anybody figure out how to use the Luhn's Algorithm for the Form Component? If you add a form element, like TextField, you can select a validation as part of the Constraint tab. In that tab, there is an option for Luhn's algorithm to validate credit cards and some government IDs. However, whenever the drop down field for the constraint is selected, nothing else happens.I looked at the documentation but there is no reference to this feature.Any comment/suggestion is welcomed.Mario

Hi,  Our client has requirement where Scene 7 Images need to be dragged and dropped from content finder to any custom component  without importing that in DAM. I am able to drag and drop Scene 7 images from Scene 7 content finder to Scene 7 components like Zoom etc, but not for any other custom component or OOB image component. Is there any way to do this in CQ out-of-the-box or am I missing something very trivial?Quick response would be appreciatedThanks,Abhijit

Hi,Can we have an internal messaging queue in CQ similar to JMS and if yes is it possible for an external system to poll that queue?Regards,Shallu Rohilla

Hi Guys ,There are some Js files in libs , such as the preferences.js (/libs/cq/security/widgets/source/widgets/security/Preferences.js).I copied the same file to my apps folder and when i instantiate some variables (My_Prop = "new prop") , it can be accessed from anywhere (any other JS file).I dont want to disturb the preferences.js . I want to create my own js similar to this so that when i declare some properties , it shall be available anywhere and accessed from every other js file. Thanks in advanceHarish

Hello, I am trying to find out information relevant to a proposed migration of existing website content from Silverstripe to AEM, a certain amount of new content creation would be fine, but it would be easier if would just export and reimport the majority of our current content from one to the other. Is there any currently existing documentation that would give an overview to the best practice for this?Please let me know if I can provide any more relevant details to help with an answerCheers!Ben

Hi,My requirement is whenever i create a new page CQ has to add the new property.so i prefered Even handlers and followed the below code.The problem is i dont know weather the code is running?i have checked the console i didn't get any log as well.could anyone please help me and explain how event handlers running in CQ? @Component public class ExampleObservation implements EventListener {  Logger log = LoggerFactory.getLogger(this.getClass());  private Session adminSession;  @Reference  SlingRepository repository;  @Activate  public void activate(ComponentContext context) throws Exception {  log.info("activating ExampleObservation");  try {    adminSession = repository.loginAdministrative(null);    adminSession.getWorkspace().getObservationManager().addEventListener(      this, //handler      Event.PROPERTY_ADDED|Event.NODE_ADDED, //binary combination of event types      "/content/", //path      true, //is Deep?      null, //uuids filter      null, //nodetypes filter       false);   }

Hi,As part of a process of migrating content, I have written Java code to retrieve binary resource stream given the Internet URL of an image. I then, create a node in the DAM and store this binary stream as its jcr:data property(under renditions/original). I have stopped all the DAM workflows as I don't need any other renditions of the image. The image is getting stored properly, but when I do the same for around 2000 images, the process somehow stops after around 1000 images. I am not storing all the images under the same node(I have a certain hierarchy which is far from the flat-file system, which ensures that there are not more than 100 images under a node).When I inspect the loggers, I cannot find anything suspicious as well. I'm guessing there is some problem with the indexes that point to the datastore, but I really cannot pin point any particular reason. Am I doing it the correct way, or is there a better way to upload such large numbers of images to the DAM? Please help me out

Masters,My requirement is to create a multi form like wizard container. Author should be able to define the number of tabs in a dialog. For example, we can define this value in custom Start Form component. Once author sets this value as 3 then 3 tabs will be created. Each tab will contain parsys so that author can drag and drop other components in each tab. Appreciate your suggestion on how to proceed on this.

Hi, Just want to know if DAM supports SVG content.  Thanks!

Hi,I am following the http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-6/developing/developing-reports.htmlHow to get the user group information into the custom report. I tried by using the "P:property [String] = "rep:Group"" for the queryBuilder node as property. N:queryBuilder [nt:unstructured]                P:property [String] = "rep:Group" instead of   P:property [String] = "jcr:path" but still no luck. Thanks in AdvanceVar

Hi,I got a weird problem here, my "components" folder is empty in CRX Lite however i can see the whole jcr structure using JCR Content Explorer. All pages are working fine so i'm assuming the nodes / structures are  there.My project is maven based and i didnt find any POM or XML inconsistence and no exceptions as well. Any clues what may be the problem?

The upload asset action component of asset share does not work in IE. This component however works fine in firefox.

Hi,Five Deployment Scenarios were discussed for AEM 6.0.In the TarMK Farm, (3rd scenario) is there an Automatic Fail over or it is manual?Please refer to http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/deploy/recommended-deploys.html#MicrokernelsAppreciate your response.Thanks,Rama.

Hi All,I uploaded an image on DAM, tried changing its title from 'Damadmin' but to no avail. It is showing the default IPTC title(If seen from exif reader)then I changed the name of the image and again uploaded it and tried changing the title. this time the behaviour goes more erratic and instead of just updating the title , it appends it with the old title separated by comma. some more info: we have created a custom workflow(xx-dam-update-asset) which gets called everytime an asset is uploaded or modified.It uses OOTB Extract Meta Data Process .( After this process we have some more different processes which  just create different web enable renditions which I think are not responsible for this behaviour.)I think the problem is because of this OOTB Extract Meta Data Process but cant exactly figure out what is the root cause of this isssue.Anybody faced any similar issue ??I have attached some of my findings.It includes the error log for the two cases and the worklows from the archive

We are testing author groups in our staging environment.  When creating a page, the "Page Properties" option in SideKick is active but the popup does not display.  I've tried setting permissions under /libs/cq/ur/widgets/source/widgets/wcm/SideKick.js but no luck.  I've created several groups and used the out of the box groups, but only admins have access to the page properties popup.

We are experiencing a sitewide issue in 6.0 SP2 for Classic UI where components almost seem to "fuse" together and are no longer editable individually. In SP1 this is not an issue. To elaborate further, when in edit mode the green border that appears around components should highlight each component individually. Right clicking will allow you authors to edit the components details. This works exactly as expected in SP1. However, in SP2 the green border is drawn around an entire group of components and not individually. Authors cannot delete or edit components individually. Interestingly enough, if an author double clicks on the "fused" component, all the the effected components dialog popups will open at once. Anyone seeing this? My over simplified graphic illustrating the issue:

I want to disable a textbox in a dialog in page properties if its value is equal to not null or not blank.

I want to set "org.osgi.framework.bootdelegation" property in sling.properties file at the time of CQ installationSo earlier I used to start CQ from the commandjava -cp <path to>/cryptojcommon-6.0.0.jar –Xmx1792m –XX:MaxPermSize=256m –jar cq-quickstart.jar. and give com.rsa.* in org.osgi.framework.bootdelegation property in sling.properties file.[The com.rsa package is coming from the artifact cryptojcommon-6.0.0.jar] After reading http://blog.meschberger.ch/2008/10/osgi-bundles-require-classes-from.html, I have created a fragment and I am starting my CQ from the commandjava -cp <path to>/cryptojcommon-6.0.0.jar –Xmx1792m –XX:MaxPermSize=256m -jar cq-quickstart.jarand then installing the fragment on Adobe CQ.But when I install any bundle that has dependency on com.rsa.* package, it gives an error that Class not FOund exception. What could be the possible solution? Thanks in Advance.-Ankit
