Hi,would like to know how to transform a field of type rich text as mandatory.As you can see in the attached picture, I added the "required{Boolean} = true " in the propertyif I saved without filling the field has accepted the same.Thanks in advance.Josi

Hello,We're trying to add an IE8 stylesheet inside conditional comments, but because the parser ignores contents inside comments, it is not converted to a css link correctly:<!--[if lte IE 8]> <meta data-sly-call="${clientLib.css @ categories='ourstlyes.iestyles'}" data-sly-unwrap></meta> <![endif]-->Which gets rendered to:<!--[if lte IE 8]> <meta data-sly-call="" data-sly-unwrap></meta> <![endif]-->What would be the recommend approach here? I have tried pulling the comment into a different template with the same result. The other approach we were thinking was creating a a component for the comment opening and closing and outputting directly with: response.getWriter().print("<!--"); but this seem like a bit of a hack?Thanks!

Hi,I am using two custom xtypes written in extjs for my design_dialog component. My component has 6 tabs, in which the two custom xtypes were present in the second and third tabs. Both the xtypes containing pathfields within them.The issue here is, once i opened my design_dialog the width of the pathfields present in the second & third tab were reduced.Onething i have noted here is, if i made the second or third tab as active tab and reopened the design_dialog i can see the pathfield was on proper size.Since i am new to CQ5 am bit confused on how to make these pathfields to appear on proper size while i open the design_dialog for the first time itself. Hi,When using default "p.hits", search results contain path as well. However when using the "selective" option, path is no longer returned.Is there a way to return path with selective option?Thanks.

Hi,I need to upload two images in the same dialog but it's not working. In cq:editConfig and in cq:dialog I created two nodes with the same configuration. In the  jcr:content page  it creates the file node only for the first image while for the second image it's creating the node without any file inside and so it's not showing the image.(see attached images)Thanks advanced, Josi

Is the OOTB adaptive image component really the right approach for display responsive images? What about the performance impact of resizing images in realtime? Has anyone observed what sort of performance impact this is? I'm also not really a fan of generating lots of renditions in the DAM but at least this won't cause a performance impact. Does anyone has any best practice advice?

Hi I need help in overriding Day CQ LoginSelector  Authentication Handler property for redirecting back to login page[my application]  if invalid credentials are entered while logging in my application. Now it redirects me to default geometrixx login page.I tried using /apps/myproject/config by adding com.day.cq.auth.impl.LoginSelectorHandler node with sling:OsgiConfig of jcr:primaryType with override values but still values are not overriden!ThanksManjunath

Even after deleting the cache from /var/clientlibs. If I check under /var/clientlibs the clientLib.js is blank, but it is taking old js files.Even tried after restarting the bundles JSP Support and JSP Tag Lib and HTMLLibraryManager.Even restarting the CQ instance does not help. Any suggestions.

Hi All,I am using CQ5.5 and created an dialog  with two tabs (first and Second) . First tab is developed with xType multifield. inside the fieldConfig i have added combobox and where as  Second tab consists of two textFields . Everything works fine expect in one scenario.The scenario where combobox is squeezing (basically only arrow of drop down is displaying not with textField before arrow ) isopen the dialog (default first Tab will be displayed) enter some value in multified and click on save.Again double click parsys and default First tab opens and click on second Tab. Now click on cancel (notice that cancel is clicked while Second tab is opened) . Now double click the parsys you will see the Second Tab now click on First tab you see dropdown not displaying completely.I see this issue only with Drodown added in multifield. i am not able to find an solution for it. may i know any reason behind it and possible fix for the same.Many Thanks!!

HI all,Can you help on something that should be simple but is proving not to be? I am attempting to post a simple feedback form on an instance of CQ5.6.1 using javax.mail MimeMessage. It works when passing no custom form input - that is, it will generate the email and send it. However, when any form variables are injected into that email, the form seems to be referred to "standard?" form handler. Am I missing some basic CQ setting here? Do I need to "register" the form and its variables in order for CQ to accept it?Apologies if this sounds basic/stupid but I'm struggling to a useful steer on this one.

Hi,Is there a way to insert an image without using fileupload?I would only use the option to drag and drop as the old graphical.Another thing using two tabs (as in the picture attached) with the same "class: cq: dropTarget" property does not work.Regarding the new graphical AEM 6, there is not hardly any documentation.Thanks in advance.Josi

What is the use of Apache Sling Thread Pool Configuration in OSGI  ?

In CQ5.6 , we have /crx-quickstart/repository/repository.xml and we can change the Taroptimization run time using this xml. as follows.<PersistenceManager class="com.day.crx.persistence.tar.TarPersistenceManager">    <param name="autoOptimizeAt" value="01:00-04:00" /></PersistenceManager>How to do the same in AEM 6.0 ? Hi,I have created a project with AEM developer Tools and Eclipse luna according to the steps decribed here. In the new project there is some service component, page component, page templates that are visible to eclipse but not at CRXDE lite or in AEM. I don't find that template while creating a template in specific path also.Please help.

Let me ask a question based on the information provided here to make right decision. http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/deploy/recommended-deploys.html.MongoMK is good for scalability and TarMK is good for Performance, This is summary i am getting it.My question is  we need clustering on publish because there is huge UGC on publish side.MongoKM does not provide performance like TarMK. is that true?Can we achieve high availability with TarMK with clustered approach for high number of users? Can we setup publish clustering using TarMK setup to avoid reverser replication for UGC to be replicated across all publish ? I see Cloud storage is recommended for TarMK Clustering and not very convincing to me  :).regards,Chandra
