Solved

Hi..        I have been learning CQ5.  Recently i tried  to configure CQ’s Servlet Engine (CQSE) to listen on HTTP over SSL.On the ‘Configuration’ tab of osgi console, I found ‘Day CQSE HTTP Service’  and made below changes.1. Checked the enable HTTP button.2. Changed the port to 4533.and just saved it. Now I am unable to access both 4502 and 4533. I understand something has gone wrong. But please advise me how to reset the settings. so i can access my author server on 4502.

Currently I am using a component which is having design_dialog and it is associated with TLD or java classes. In the java classes various properties are read using using object of "Style" like Style currentStyle and reading properties like this: currentStyle.get("NAMEOFPROPERTY","DEFAULTVALUE"); Now i want to convert this design_dialog to dialog type. Simply changing from design_dialog to dialog doesn't worked, so what changes should I require to do?

We enable to access Jcr_content. But once we enable this on dispatcher.any , we can see same URL location on cache folder. Still we are getting forbidden error 403.The dispatcher Cache folder contains JCR:content  as "_jcr_content ". Is it possible to cache JCR:CONTENT .

Hi,In Apache Felix OSGI Console,What is the Acronym of OSGI?(http://localhost:4502/system/console/)

Folks,     We are having issues with JSESSIONID. On the non-CQ5 site, we have JSESSIONID cookie set at the root level. Once the user comes to the CQ5 based site/pages, CQ5 overwrites this cookie with new value. Now when the user comes back to the non-CQ5 site, we see errors about the JSESSIONID as it was changed by CQ5. Can we configure CQ5 for not creating/overwriting the JSESSIONID cookie or if it does then create at a different path so that not to mess up with the non-cq5 site cookie.Few things to we attempted to try -1. We would rename the JSESSIONID cookie for CQ5 site, but we could not using either java script or using backend java code. Even if we try to do so, it creates a new cookie at the root level.2. We can not modify the JSESSIONID on the functional site. Can someone please suggest what should we be doing in this case?

I want to authenticate the CQ user through cookie, means the user credentials are stored in user browser(cookie), which would be auto read and auto authenticated in CQ.Please suggest...

We are trying to use HP diagnostics (for monitoring) and CQ5.5, But CQ is failing with exceptions::/cq-author path:/cq-author spec-version:2.5]] Root cause of ServletException.java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/mercury/opal/capture/proxy/ConsumerConfigProxy    at org.apache.felix.http.base.internal.DispatcherServlet.service(DispatcherServlet.java)    at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:820)    at org.apache.felix.http.proxy.ProxyServlet.service(ProxyServlet.java:60)    at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:820)    at org.apache.sling.launchpad.base.webapp.SlingServletDelegate.service(SlingServletDelegate.java:278) Any idea as to what class if any need to be added/modified for in sling.properties or any way to make this combination work.

As can be seen in the attached screenshot, when I go to the asset share page, select an item and click download, I am prompted to download a zip file. I download it and when I try to unzip this zip file, receive an error popup that says "Unable to expand %FILENAME% to %LOCATION%".Any ideas as to why this download functionality would be broken? I've tried on both Windows and Mac just to try to rule out some possibilities. Also, I tried on a separate CQ5.6 DAM and found that to work properly by downloading and then unzipping. Thanks, Tom

We are upgrading from CQ 5.5 to 5.6.1 and would like to know if we need to rename the cq-quickstart-5.6.1.jar file to cq-quickstart-5.6.1-author-p4502.When we are upgrading to CQ 5.4 from 5.3, renaming was required and we had to rename the file for author instance as cq-quickstart-5.5.0-author-p4502, with 'p' flag infront of the port number 4502. Not sure if we need to follow the same naming convension this time. Please let me, If any of you have executed the upgrade and had to rename the file.ThanksSailesh.

Hello, I am about to edit a large amount of video metadata in Scene7 in order to generate a video sitemap. In the application settings I did already match the metadata elements to match the input fields that are used to generate the video sitemap. But editiong the according metadata for each video asset is a pain.Is there any way to import evideo metadata like description, title and keywords for several evideos at once via tab delimited file? The "File -> Import Metadata" menu seems to work only for images. I searched the help files but the process described there is for images only obviously. Thanks in advance, Gerald

Hi, I am trying to bulk edit my site content using the standard process of bulkeditor.I need to change cq:allowedTemplates value which is a multifield. The nodes which don't have this property will get updated but with TYPE:String       cq:allowedTemplatesString"[/apps/dmp/templates/spoketemplate,/apps/dmp/templates/hubtemplate,/apps/dmp/templates/tooltemplate]" The nodes which have this property and needs to be updated is not getting updated       cq:allowedTemplatesString[]/apps/dmp/templates/spoketemplate, /apps/dmp/templates/hubtemplate Can some please tell as how to do add/update the fields which have multistring type or if atleast we can do it or not using bulk editor? ThanksMohit Kumar

We have a 3rd party application from which we ingest data into CRX. This 3rd party application gives us driver information like first name , last name , score , bio etc. We create one CQ package per driver and ingest into CRX. We have 200 drivers. Each driver data create 30+ nodes and sets some properties. We are thinking of changing this logic to create one big package with all 200 drivers and ingest this one big CQ package instead of ingesting small 200 CQ packages.Which is the best way to solve this problem and which will be fast (200 cq package or just one big CQ package) ? We were thinking that with 200 CQ package CQ has to track events for all 200 packages which might result in more time versus one big CQ package in which CQ has to track only one event.

I need to enable a particular component group by default when i create a page with a specific template; without going to design mode and selecting the group. When author selects it once, it works for all new pages he creates with that template. However, that is not the case when the package is installed in in another CQ environment and the author has to again manually choose the group by going to design mode.Need a solution to avoid this. Tried referring the content.xml for any properties added after the group is chosen from design mode. But couldn't find.Kindly help. Thanks,Sriram

Hello,Pages on my author instance are publishing automatically and with the username who last replicated from the replication page.We started to notice this instantly after we uploaded a package, and replicated it.Has anyone ever experienced this or have a solution to fix it? Thanks,Steve

Hi,I am working on building a footer component for my site. The links on the footer, the logo image and the copyright information on footer are authorable fields.Since the footer is same across all my templates, I want to edit my footer component, author it once, I want the same links to show across all my pages irrespective of the template being used. But the way it works currently is:I have included the footer component in my templates like this <cq:include path="footer" resourceType="proj/components/sitename/footer" /> and also added a design_dialog.1) When i switch to design mode from the sidekick, and click the edit button on my footer and populate my links, they get stored under:  /etc/designs/sitename/jcr:content/category-page/footer     for page with template type category-page/etc/designs/sitename/jcr:content/home-page/footer     for page with template type home-page2) So I need to author the same set set of links over and over again for each template type once. The site

Are there any other structures within the CQ v5.4 footprint that one can remove going forward from CQ v5.5?I handled the CQ v5.4 to CQ v5.5 upgrade but wasn't sure about what could be removed and what couldn't though I suspected a couple of areas were no longer in use.  Because I wasn't sure I figured there was little harm in leaving this stuff around.  That is until they've asked one of my peers to handle the CQ v5.5 to CQ v5.6.1 upgrade with me mentoring so we had at least two resources with experience doing it and this individual started trying to start our CQ v5.5 SANDBOX instance using the old CQ v5.4 start/stop scripts present at crx-quickstart\server.  So  now I think it is important to get rid of these areas that are no longer used and I'd encourage Adobe to make this information know in their upgrade documentation if it is indeed safe to remove such areas.

I am having an issue with the redirect functionality in CQ5. Essentially, I can set a redirect in the page properties of any page on my site. However this redirect only seems to work when I navigate to that page through a link. For example starting on the homepage and clicking through to the page in question - then it redirects as I have set in the properties. However, the redirect does not happen when I navigate to the URL directly in the browser. Does anyone know why this is?

Hi,On CQ5.5 SP2.1, I have a master site which has around a dozen live copy sites. I recently tried rolling out updates to a couple of sections. However the rollout was only meant to go to a few of the live copy sites. Usually a screen appears asking which sites require the update, but in this instance it did not. The only difference in the process was I selected a couple of sections, rather than just a single section or page. I've attached a screenshot of the window I would usually see showing the live copies. Is this a known CQ issue? I'm using Chrome on Windows 7.Any help would be appreciated. ThanksIan

Hi,I am trying to execute search using date range properties on a particular node, CQ5.5.
