Hi all,Looks like at the moment, when a page in our publisher instance throws an exception and leads to a response with a 500 status code, the dispatcher in front of it caches the response and serves the 500 status code from then on.So when the page is fixed and the exception is not thrown anymore, the dispatcher continues serving the 500 error code page.Is there a way to configure the dispatcher to never cache 4xx and 5xx responses? Thanks in advance.

We are about to move to AEM 6.0According to http://dev.day.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/integration/creative-cloud.html, you integrate Creative Cloud and Marketing Cloud in the following way: Creative Cloud integration now is done via the Marketing Cloud asset synchronization. Can anyone shed some light on exactly how this is done?

Hi,Is there a way by which we can attach some document or asset in a mail while triggering a mail.please suggest some way how we can achieve if its possible.

Hi. I have installed service pack 1 on fresh AEM6 instance. I also checked if the oak version is correct, and it was 1.0.5, I have deployed my packages few times and repository size growth up to ~9 GB. I tried to fire compacting from the JMX console (/system/console/JMX -> RepositoryManagment) but it didn't compact the repository size. In logs I have information, that compacting has been paused, and probably this is the reason why it didn't worked. I also read that just one time I should fire the offline oak compacting tool, so I did that, and repository size has backed to normal. Once again I deployed my package few times, repository size was again around ~5GB. Once again I tried to fire compacting from JMX, but it didn't helped. What I have in logs:18.09.2014 09:32:45.466 *INFO* [TarMK compaction thread [path\crx-quickstart\repository\segmentstore], active since Thu Sep 18 09:32:45 CEST 2014, previous max duration 3195ms] org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.segment.file.FileStore Ta

I have a custom servlet that extends the SlingAllMethodsServlet & deployed to Adobe CQ 5.6.1. It finds an existing tag using the TagManager class. This part is working. When tagging an Asset, getting this error. Please advise? Hi,In /libs/foundation/src/impl/src/main/java/com/day/cq/wcm/foundation/forms/impl/FormParagraphPostProcessor.java, the checkFormStructure method, there are a few method invokations that are similar to this:parent.getSession().save();if ( parent.getSession().hasPendingChanges() ) { parent.getSession().refresh(false); }What is the difference between calling getSession().save(), getSession().hasPendingChanges(), and getSession().refresh(false) on a node vs its parent? Thanks in advance.

Hi,Has anyone, or any of Adobe's customers that Adobe is aware of, used 8 or 16 gigs of heap size for their author/publisher instances (using Oracle Java 7)?Also does Adobe have any recommendations for what configuration of the G1 collector is "in general" best suited for use with CQ5, if it is advised at all? Thanks in advance.

My project is using AEM 5.6.1.  We have a custom sling servlet that an external client app post to for bulk upload assets following this approach:http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/multiple-digital-assets.htmlThe servlet can create assets without issue.  There is also a requirement to tag the asset.  However tagging the asset is failing - exception info pasted below. It looks like the servlet is running as "anonymous".  How do we make the servlet run as admin user?Thanks! 16.09.2014 13:50:40.502 *ERROR* [127.0.0.1 [1410893440342] POST /bin/upmanydamfiles HTTP/1.1] com.ourApp.cq.service.TagService access control error -  java.security.AccessControlException: User 'anonymous' is not allowed to create tag '/etc/tags/some/test_tag' (node '/etc/tags/some/test_tag)        at com.day.cq.tagging.impl.JcrTagManagerImpl.internalCreateTag(JcrTagManagerImpl.java:1460)        at com.day.cq.tagging.impl.JcrTagManagerImpl.createTag(JcrTagManagerImpl.java:219)        at com.day.cq.tagging.

Hi,we access our author instance over a apache webserver with dispatcher. Nearly everthings works fine, but there is one problem. In some cases CQ sends responses with http status code 412. In these cases apache sends the apache error page with status 412 to the client, but the client expects the original content from cq in the errorpage. You can try this by deleting a referenced page. If you access the author directly (e.g. port 4502) a popup will be shown, if you realy want to delete the page. If you access the author over your webserver nothing happens, because the content of the errorpage is not valid for the client.Has somebody an idea, how to configure apache or dispatcher to send the original errorpage to the client? regardsReini

In Touch UI for AEM6 SP1, I have a system that is repeatedly displaying no items on the Sites Menu.  The stack trace is below.  What's the best recovery?  Is it to delete compiled classes from /var or similar? 17.09.2014 02:51:02.571 *INFO* [127.0.0.1 [1410922260824] GET /sites.html/content HTTP/1.1] com.day.cq.wcm.core.impl.designer.SystemDesign Initialized system design at /etc/designs/geometrixx in 47ms17.09.2014 02:51:02.571 *ERROR* [127.0.0.1 [1410922260824] GET /sites.html/content HTTP/1.1] org.apache.sling.engine.impl.SlingRequestProcessorImpl service: Uncaught SlingExceptionjava.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problems: Only a type can be imported. com.adobe.cq.wcm.launches.utils.LaunchUtils resolves to a packageOnly a type can be imported. com.day.cq.wcm.msm.api.LiveRelationshipManager resolves to a packageLiveRelationshipManager cannot be resolved to a typeLiveRelationshipManager cannot be resolved to a typeLaunchUtils cannot be resolvedat org.apache.jsp.libs.cq.gui.compon

Hi All,I followed the article http://experience-aem.blogspot.in/2014/01/aem-cq-56-extend-useradmin-add-new-user.html and its working fine on my local OOTB instance.I am trying to learn things and have doubts as below:1] CQ.Ext.ns("MyClientLib") is registering our own custom xtype or something?2] var fields = CQ.security.data.AuthRecord.FIELDS       I am not able to get what exactly does this do. I thought it was part of extjs api, but could not find anything.3]  What does the below lines indicate.     addSecondEmail: function(propPanel){    var userForm = propPanel.userForm;    userForm.insert(userForm.items.indexOf(emailComp[0]) + 1, secondEmailComp);    userForm.doLayout();4] What is the best procedure I need to follow to understand such code. Hi ,While developing web applications we maintain the sessions.Could anyone suggest how to maintain such session mechanism in AEM?

Aside from junit tests incorporated in every build and selenium tests for components, we want to explore the use of server-side (sling-based) tests for integration testing.  There will be cases where we need to test components that use references to classes such as SlingRepository or ResourceResolverFactory classes without using mock objects.  How should we go about it? What is the best way to implement?  We would want to create separate project that: executes all the test cases , create pages or nodes to test certain functionalities and then be able to delete created content nodes after all tests have been executed (specially if running in the production environment).

How does one determine what is the correct version of jackrabbit-standalone***.jar for CQ 5.6.1 (I am currently working on) and for CQ 6.1 (will be upgrading to very soon). On http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.jackrabbit/jackrabbit-standalone the latest version is <dependency>    <groupId>org.apache.jackrabbit</groupId>    <artifactId>jackrabbit-standalone</artifactId>    <version>1.6.5</version></dependency>

We are implementing journal entries in our AEM 5.6.1 implementation. When a user saves an entry and the title has spaces or other illegal characters, the characters get replaced with an underscore (_); Is there an OSGi setting or some other way to change that character to a hyphen, like the page manager does in the site admin? Our SEO department insists on using hyphens.

I created a new channel by overriding /etc/clientlibs/granite/clientlibrarymanager/DefaultChannelDetector.js, using the existing ie6 channel as a template to create an ie8 channel so that channels looked like this:var channels = [channel: "ie6", // or lowermatch: /MSIE ([0-6]\.[\.0-9]{0,})/i},{channel: "ie8", // 7 and 8match: /MSIE ([7-8]\.[\.0-9]{0,})/i} ,...];In general this works: clientLibraries I have created with the specified ie8 channel get loaded, however when loading a page in author mode with a default cq component in IE8, the javascript console shows the errors:'CQ.undo.UndoManager' is null or not an object'CQ.WCM' is null or not an object and the component is not visible/editable.How can I create a custom ie8 channel to load ie8 specific stylesheets/javascripts?
