We have a custom component that reads the data from the JCR. User if logged on to CQ can then add/remove items from that component. Just think of it in terms of imageText component and user if logged on can add multiple images. Once they add images we have to show them on the page without having to refresh the page but only the component that is doing it?How can we achieve it.

Hello I need a suggestion about the best way to filter login requests. For example I need to allow loggin to the platform only for user who has activated his account (some property in user's node). This filter should not be on the frontend and affect login process to siteadmin/crxde.I will appreciate your ideas about what approach will be the best. Thank you.

Hello,we are trying to port our Classic UI functionality to TouchUI, but we have fund that new inline RTE (edytorType: text) is missing many useful plugins. I have found documentation, where it's specified what plugins are missing in TouchUI comparing to EXTJS RTE, it's to be found here: http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/operations/page-authoring/rich-text-editor.html#Plugins and their FeaturesIn document linked aboved, it's not mentioned that TouchUI is also missing another useful plugin: styles. The question is, are there plans in any further versions/service packs to add these functionalities to TouchUI?:TableStylesHeading chooser (paraformat)Lack of these functionalities is blocking us from porting our components to TouchUISincerelly

I am trying to write a basic Sightly user-grid component by referencing a JSP user-grid component. What I seem to be having trouble with is the expressive language seems to be written out without being evaluated in the <script> tag.For instance in JSP:<script type="text/javascript"> var baseURL = "<%= currentNode.getPath() %>"; $CQ(function () { $CQ('.user-table').flexigrid({ url: baseURL + '.json', // This will trigger a POST request back to CQ //more params }); }); </script>And I should be able to rewrite this in Sightly as:<script type="text/javascript"> var baseURL = "${currentNode.path}"; $CQ(function () { $CQ('.user-table').flexigrid({ url: baseURL + '.json', // This will trigger a POST request back to CQ //more params }); }); </script>But for some reason the HTML is rendered as:var baseURL = "";I have only seen this behavior in the <script> tag, every other tag is would be rendered as the path to the currentNode. Any thoughts or suggesti

Hi, I have a bundle that I have deployed in CQ5 author environment but there is something wrong with the code which I am not able to figure out. Please let me know how to debug the bundle code in eclipse. I have whole code eclipse and I have put the breakpoints in the code too. Hi, I believe I've followed the instructions in this document: http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/dispatcher/disp-domains.htmlIt's not working, I wonder if I need to create a virtual host section for "invalidation_only"? The error I get is<p>The requested URL /invalidation_only/dispatcher/invalidate.cache was not found on this server.</p> If so, can someone provide me with a snippet? Thanks

Hi,I'm trying to list the child nodes of my current component's node and display their properties. This is my code:<dl data-sly-list.slide="${currentNode.getNodes}"> <dt>index: ${slideList.index}</dt> <dd>title: ${slide.title}</dd> </dl>It spits out the index correctly and when I do ${slide.path}, the path is correct as well. However, ${slide.title} and any other properties always remain empty, even though they do have values in the CRX. Also for the docs [1], the last paragraph seems to have an error:<dl data-sly-list.child="${myObj}"> <dt>key: ${item}</dt> <dd>value: ${myObj[item]}</dd> </dl>My understanding is that if you use ".child" (or any other name) that replaces the "item", doesn't it? Thanks,Paul [1] http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/develop/sightly.html#list

I have a set of components which needs to be changed once on one page and the changes should get reflected across multiple pages and the pages where these changes will be reflected will be using different templates. How should i achieve this requirement. Please suggest some approach.

I am getting an error when trying to delete a page from the Search panel of the Websites/SiteAdmin page.[img]delete.png[/img]When I attempt to delete any page from the search results, I get a javascript error, the screen gets stuck on a 'Searching...' screen, and the page never gets deleted.[img]searching.png[/img]The javascript error seems to be caused by the code attempting to find the tree component from the 'Websites' tab panel but 'this.id' on the Search panel is different than the id on the Websites panel so the code on the Search panel can't find the tree component.  As such, the 'tree' variable is null so attempting to call getRootNode causes the error.[img]error.png[/img]Is anyone else getting this same behavior?  Is this a known bug?  Is there a hotfix for this? Thanks in advance for any help in getting this resolved.

I have followed the Adobe tutorial http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-4/howto/website.html. Created template as per the direction. But while creating webpage in CQ5 browser the template created is not appearing.Set alloweded path as /content(/.*)? .Please help me to resolve the issueThanks,RG

Hi,A few days ago due to a bug in CQ5 one of the queues on our author instance got stuck so we were advised to clean it by deleting "/var/replication/data" and I think "/var/eventing/jobs".However some of the items in the queue were calls to Deactivate, which as we cleaned the queue, din't get a chance to actually deactivate nodes from the publisher. So now we have some left-over/orphaned nodes on the publisher instances. What options are available for deleting such nodes? Thanks.

What is everyone doing to embed an RSS feed in a simple list on a page?  This should be a very simply component to build, but all the OOTB features build nodes from feeds or produce feeds.  We need to simply embed.

I am trying to add some custom handling to the Sidekick and I am following this example: http://adobecms.blogspot.ca/2014/04/sidekick-customization.htmlI've included this code in my component.jsp:<script> function checkSidekickStatus() { if (CQ.WCM.isSidekickReady()) { // do stuff clearTimeout(timeout); } } var timeout = setInterval(checkSidekickStatus, 1000); </script>But, it never gets past the "CQ.WCM.isSidekickReady()" check, even though the Sidekick is clearly ready.  Any suggestions?

When executing a Force Retry on the replication agent the error.log shows a ScriptEvalutationException caused by a Java ClassCastException: LazyInputStream cannot be cast to a com.day.cq.replication.ReplicaionContentFacade.This problem appears to have started after upgrading to CQ 5.6.1 fro CQ 5.6. Any advice would be appreciated.
