Do Average time spend and Average visit depth (page /session) include the data from bounce visitors? or in other word if some one come to my site and bounced back immediately does that count as a page visit ?

Every export I try from Data Warehouse produces a corrupted Tableau Data Extract file.  I have been waiting on a solution from Custom Service/Engineering for a month with no luck.  Has anyone else had an issue with TDE exports?

I'm storing our first party cookie in an eVar via DTM using a data element. For some reason, the cookie value is not captured in the eVar for each unique browser.  The cookie name on the site (www.universalorlando.com) is called "Click2Click1". Would someone please help me figure out why it's not being captured for some visitors? Thanks,David

I need some help on figuring out how SiteCatalyst collects data about Client-side "Login" data. Does it get the data from user cookies or is there additional coding that needs to take place. Here is what I have uploaded to our HTML:var sTagEnvCookie = readCookie('s_tagEnv')var environment = 'prod';if(sTagEnvCookie == 'dev') {environment = 'dev';}var webData = {siteCode:"CLNStore",pageName:pageName,pageType:"",contentType:contentType,contentCode:contentCode,siteSection:siteSection,site:"CLNStore",environment:environment,language:"en",loginStatus:loginStatus,userType:userType,hier1:'',"events": ["pageView"],}</script>Will this give me the "Login Status" based on the cookies alone, or do I need to do more in terms of coding to get the data? Thank You,Dhru

I just now added and removed a segment to one of my dashboards a couple of times.  I ended up going through three views of the non-segmented dashboard and two views with the segment applied.  Of the five panels in the dashboard, all 5 were different from each other for the two segmented views - (6K in one segmented view, 255K in the other segmented view for example, for just one of the panels).  For the views of the dashboard without any segments applied, three of the five dashboard panels showed these kind of crazy differences from view to view.  Yes, I'm sending screen shots to client care.  I no longer trust what I'm seeing.

Hi,I am using Adobe Analytics - DTM for my site. The site is based on single page architecture. The page loads only once and all the other pages load through ajax in the page container.I am using Direct call rule for the page view tracking.I want to configure following reports please let me know the detailed steps for the same :--1. How many users logged into the application?2. A mechanism to track the user name/ detail for every pages and page sections viewed. I tried creating a Data Element using JS Object for Login object in the application and remembered for Session.Created a Event Rule on login button click.Adobe Analytics section contains eVar10=%s.eVar10% where s.eVar10 is the data element.Added event4. browser console shows correct value for _satellite.getVar('s.eVar10')But it is not showing anywhere in the site metrics reports.Link click section shows the count only. Please suggest how to track Logged in user names in the report section?

The following two tags:<script type="text/javascript" async="async" src="........._setAudienceManagerFields”><script type="text/javascript" async="async" src="...........setAnalyticsFields">.are being automatically generated in IE. Their placement in the code is causing some layout issues within the webpage. What is the purpose of these scripts and why are they being inserted in IE browsers?

Is it possible to automate the emailing of a monthly dashboard containing the data in Excel format?

Hi all,I'm a backend developer (new to omniture)working with our front end guys to implement some analytic reports.Got a few questions, hope someone can shed some lights on them.#1.  our report needs to track what is the average number of times the users open a certain css modal during the logged in session.  How should I create the report (more specifically, what kind of report should it be?  custom traffic?)what we've done so far:We've added  _satellite.track('InboxOpened') to our front end open-modal logic  and it's firing the call with these params:AQB:1ndh:1pf:1t:24/8/2014 14:0:48 3 420D:D=fid:4A736ABF072DD17E-068B188ECD7E9CD1ce:UTF-8g:http://localhost:8080/B2B/app/notificationspe:lnk_opev2:link clickedevents:event27c14:D=v14v14:1s:1280x800c:24j:1.6v:Yk:Ybw:1280bh:114AQE:1I've already setup these data elements on the dtm side:eVar14="%inbox.open.count%"prop14=eVar14event27question #2 (unrelated to #1). In the default page view report, it is not showing any page view count, it's al

HiI was wondering if anyone can provide a reference site which is already using the new 'Visitor ID Service' (visitorapi.js) cookie implementation.I'm trying to implement this on my site but just wanted to see this in practice before I commit. I've approached our account manager but he couldn't help me with a reference site. Thanks in advance.

I am running a report that show my eVar13 which is set when a user clicks on a category link from my main product navigation. In the report I am pulling in eVar 13 looking at Visits, Orders, Units and Revenue. I am seeing for a lot of the rows of data 0 Orders with a value for Revenue. I'm trying to understand what that revenue represents. Has anyone seen this before?

Just saw the new release note. All I want to say is Thank Goodness! The nightmare is about the end!

Hello! My analytics team has always matched props and eVars in parallel. For example, passing c12 and v12 together with the same value. However we are starting to run into issues as our variable maps are quickly running out of space to create and pass new ones. We are operating on the latest version of SiteCatalyst and want to know if passing the same value to a prop AND an eVar should still be a best practice, especially in the mobile app environment. Could someone please advise me on this issue? Thanks!Rachel

I am a little stumped when looking over my pages...In the recent past, we would publish stories and they would get 1k, 2k, even 3k page views. Recently we noticed none are really breaking 500. We have started using Bit.ly links when pushing our stories out on social and in one case, the Bit.ly link has 576 clicks but less than 100 page views. Any thoughts to this?

If I run a Return Frequency Report with a data range of 1 day the counts for visitors and visits are identical for all time frames except for 'less than 1 day'.If I run it for a 2 day date range then the counts for visits and visits are identical for 'less than 1 day' and  '1 to 3 days'.Not sure what the date range would have to do with the counts of visitors and visits?

I'm finding a discrepancy between data retrieved with a tracking code versus a segment.I'm looking for tracking codes containing the text string "aggr". If I use the typed-in filter box on the Tracking Code Report, it returns what I would expect.I need this quite often, so I set up a segment that supposedly does the same thing:SHOW visit TRACKING CODE contains aggrAnd that's it. When I apply this segment, it does restrict the data but still pulls through all sorts of unrelated tracking codes... but the same total number of Visits! It's baffling and possibly down to the way I've laid out the segment. Can anyone help?

Is there a way to change the persistence of 'original referring domain' in SiteCatalyst? My understanding of this metric is that it persists forever (as long as the cookie remains active on the user-end). Is there a way to set the cookie to expire after a certain time threshold?

Hello,I'm running a PPC campaign and have it completely tagged.  I pull my stats through Campaigns>Tracking Code, and then identify my cid's to get order and revenue data. When pulling data from Traffic Sources>Search Engines - Paid though, the order and revenue data is much lower (about 40% lower).I'm new to Adobe Analytics, so any help understanding how these 2 sections of analytics are measured would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Claire

Hello SC nation.I have had a lot of trouble building Segments correctly. I want to figure out what segment traffic statistics is to be attributed to a channel, Search, Direct, Referral,Social.I've set up segements using Hits, Referrer type = Search Engines and etc. However I have also worked with clients and seen their set up of visits from Search Natural=Visit Search Engine- Natural Exists and HitsSearch Engine - Natural Exists. However the last 2 I have not been able to get to equal up to total number of visits. Using the Referrer Type reports and the first construction of the segments, I can get them to report the numbers to equal what the referrer type report is but the other set ups give really of numbers that are inflated.  Does anyone have any experience finding Traffic/conversion statistics by channel? Thanks in advance

Hi, We use SiteCatalyst for reporting and Tealium as the tag management system.Recently Google Chrome 37 was released. We see a general uptick in bounce rate, visits, orders, revenue in Chrome 37 as compared to Chrome 36 in SiteCatalyst. It is as if all metrics (negative or positive) are reported in greater numbers. This trend coincides neatly with the Chrome 37 release. It is as if either we just get more traffic due to chrome 37 or something about chrome 37 is causing our tag management javascripts to report more traffic (loads the async js better?)Any thoughts about why this is happening? Thanks

Hello,I am trying to create a custom report grouping multiple pages, but I still want the detail by individual page.  For example, I need to pull all page views for any page that contains the string 'HealthAnd%' where % is a wildcard. I'd like to set this up as a custom report that I can come back to and run periodically by day, month, etc., as well as pull out the unique customers that have visited these pages.  I know we capture a userid when the visitor is logged in, so that is part of the detail I would need as well.I have been able to set this report up in the  Data Warehouse, but it is giving me ALL pages visited, where I just want the ones that contain 'HealthAnd%'.  I can not figure out how to apply a filter.I have had zero luck trying to figure this out on my own.  I am new to Omniture and have little knowlege of the tool other than the basic site level reports. Thanks in advance for your help!

In SiteCatalyst:1.iPhone (and possibly other phones) by dimension ‘Mobile Device’ are reported incorrectly. For example a sample report for visits for a few days on our site shows:Apple iPhone 1315685Apple iPhone Simulator 12Apple iPhone 5 3Apple iPhone 4S 1‘Mobile Device’ does recognize versions, but it is not correctly reported. Is this something that can be fixed in SC?2.The dimension Mobile Screen Size is reported as:Apple iPhone: 320 x 480Apple iPhone 5: 640 x 1136Apple iPhone 4S: 640 x 960For 5 and 4S this is the correct physical device dimensions. Is this input coming from lookup tables maintained by SiteCatalyst? We would prefer the device w and h to be reported (CSS device independent pixels), as opposed to physical w and h. See http://www.mydevice.io/devices/ That is we want the device pixel ratio to be considered too. While this is something we can calculate ourselves in SC (since we are sending dpr in a context variable), it would be nice if it were available directly in SC.Is

I am having trouble with my time-based metrics (avg. time spent) when I pull it in using Report Builder. Excel seems to take it out of the HH:MM:SS format and makes it a number. So when I run a report with the Avg Time Spent metric in the Adobe Interface, the correct format is displayed but when I run it with Report Builder a random number is displayed. I can't seem to convert it to the correct time. Can anyone help?

I have some browser reports which I have created with Ad Hoc Analysis (formerly Discover). The reports need to be shared with all the SiteCatalyst users in our company. Some of these reports are multi-dimensional ranked reports, while others are trended reports. The other users who receive these reports should be able to:1. Look at the raw data and be able to modify things like date range.2. Use the report as a starting point for their own analysis.I have looked at exporting the data to Excel, but the format of exported multidimensional reports is not exactly what I want (I would prefer multidimensional/pivot tables/charts in Excel too). What are the options for sharing ad-hoc analysis based reports with other users?
