Solved

I am trying to find assets larger than "XX" bytes in the repository using an XPATH queryFound the equality operation to work in my xpath query/jcr:root/<folder to be looked in>/element(*, dam:Asset)[(jcr:content/metadata/@dam:size)=('2048')] But when I use the operators for > or <, the query fails to return results although I know there are several such assets in my repository. Is the property having a Long datatype being read as a String? I tried applying /jcr:root/<folder to be looked in>/element(*, dam:Asset)[(jcr:content/metadata/@dam:size)>xs:Long('2048')]but this doesn't work either. Any suggestions

I have several folders in dam and would like to exclude one from creating versions of the documents uploaded to it.example:/content/dam    /mysite        /folder1   (versioned)        /folder2  (NOT versioned)        /folder3 (versioned) Your comments are appreciated.

I have a page www.abcd.com/xyz.html .In the page properties of this page, the following vanity URL's are set :dealsintelligencedealsbusinessintelligencewww.abcd.com/deals is an external redirect which gets redirected to www.pqrs.com. This external redirect is configured as a 301 rewrite rule in the dispatcher(Apache Server)Now when I access www.abcd.com/dealsintelligence and www.abcd.com/dealsbusinessintelligence , it gets redirected to www.pqrs.com instead of getting redirected to  www.abcd.com/xyz.html"deals" substring is common between the vanity url and the redirect rule. When there are common substrings between vanity URL and redirect rule, we notice that the external redirect rule in apache is taking precedence. Can you tell me why such precedence takes place ?Hence the issue is that an external redirect is overriding an Internal Vanity URL.

If the cost is comlex, pls let me have a general idea. Thank you.P.S., I am using Adobe FrameMaker to write PDF documents. In its Guide, I found a CMS named AEM. So I am interested. BTW, if someone can tell me the relationship among, AEM, Adobe Marketing Cloud, CQ, CRX, I would be grateful.

Aloha,                    I am trying to scan a document into my computer and have it saved in a PDF file. But I need to make some edits in the words and then save my changes to a word document. So the screen was suggested that I join and become a member for $1.99 per month and pay for the entire year up front...which I did. But I have NO IDEA what I am doing or how to use this now that I have paid for it! HELP PLEASE. I just scanned a document not my PC and saved it in a PDF format. But I can't alter or edit the words within that document. Soo I need to be able to convert it into a WORD document so I can edit it and change the words to suit my needs. Can someone tell me where to begin? Then If anyone of you knowledgeable people can help me out and direct me through this I will be happy to return the favor. I make jewelry and also prepare tax returns. Perhaps you need your taxes done? OR you would like to have a specialty pair of earrings or a necklace made? I can do these things if so

Hi,I can't find the equivalent of the cq-quickstart-product-dependencies POM for AEM 6.0 (see http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/aem-how-tos/development/how-to-build-aem-projects-using-apache-maven.html#How-To Add Dependencies for background). Is there such a POM anywhere under different maven co-ordinates, or for now do we simply have to resolve all dependencies ourselves via the console & add to our top level POM ?Thanks.

Hi I am creating a new workflow by using the existing workflow(i.e. By copying the existing workflow under “ /etc/workflow/models/ “) But when I do this the newly created workflow is not saved for any future modifications. Observed that the newly created workflow is having a version as “ jcr:rootVersion ” and also the model is having the “ jcr:predecessors ” property of Type “ Reference[] ” is having a value as shown in below screenshot. Can’t we reuse the existing models in the way which I am trying? Or How to restrict the reference value ?http://host:port/libs/cq/workflow/content/console.htmlWorkflow: Newly created workflow Node with jcr:predecessors : Existing Workflow Node :  Thanks,

Whats the easiest (and more reliable/repeatable) way of removing all parts of an application from AEM. I mean, everything under apps, content, etc, var, ...I find myself doing this quite a lot recently (while I'm developing some dev tooling) and typically I do something like :-Uninstall and delete packages using Package ManagerDelete any OSGI bundles from apps/myapp/installDelete apps/myappDelete content/myappBut if I then run a query using 'myapp' I will find more stuff in etc/designs/myapp, and in /var/classes/org/apache/jsp/apps/myapp, and then a whole bunch of audit entries and yet more under linkchecker ... and so onIt would be great to have a script or something similar to remove all trace in one go.Any suggestions ?Kind RegardsFraser.

HiI am facing one issue with my custom contentfinder js. Actually i want to send the page path as the request parameter to CF's view handler. /bin/wcm/contentfinder/asset/viewnew.json[requestParam-page path under content]Issue is i am not able to fetch page path inside widget's js. I tries below "url": CQ.shared.HTTP.eval("/bin/wcm/contentfinder/asset/viewnew.json" + window.location.href)but in network tab its showing request is going as "http://localhost:4502/bin/wcm/contentfinder/asset/viewnew.jsonhttp://localhost:4502/cf#". So in that case i can get http://localhost:4502/cf# as request param. URL that i am hitting is : http://localhost:4502/cf#/content/Company/en/Article.html . But is need content/Company/en/Article.html or content/Company/en/Article as the request parameter. Thanks

Hi,Is there a way to write css based on WCM mode in .css file not in jsp file?Thanks.Vikram.

What would be the most efficient way to retrieve a page's content/parsys rendered as html for a sling servlet? Supposing the user calls this servlet with a page path and the servlet just returns the html generated from the parsys on that page. Similar to how the <cq:include> tag works on the jsp side. Thanks

Hi,   After observing the jcr content structure,I am using curl to update the parsys rich text content for  content/<mywebsite>/<myPage>/jcr:content/par/text/text.    This is the curl command I am using.   curl -u admin:admin -F"par/jcr:primaryType=nt:unstructured" -F"par/sling:resourceType=foundation/components/parsys" -F"par/text/text=not rich text" http://localhost:4502/content/mywebsite/en/Products/jcr:content    This only works if I put plain text for par/text/text="not rich text", How can i embed html tags in the curl such as -F"par/text/text=<tag>some rich text</tag>"?      Thank you

Whenever I clicked on copy/cut tools after selecting some text, I'm getting the following error in browser console -TypeError: this.editorKernel is undefined    else if (e.message == "Cannot copy.") {this.editorKernel.getDialogManager().alert(CUI.rte.Utils.i18n("Copy"),CUI.rte.Utils.i18n("Could not copy due to security restrictions of the browser.<br>Please use Ctrl+C to copy directly."),CUI.rte.Utils.scope(this.deferFocus, this));}I tried to pasted it but it is not getting pasted the selected text. Is it browser related issue or something else? Please help me in this. Your comments are welcome. I'm using Adobe Experience Manager (5.6.1.20130606).Thanks,Arya.

I have gone through this several times, however, when following the below instructions on Chapter 07 | 7-7, Test your script/Dialog by requesting a Page in CQ5 Siteadmin that implements this Training titleComponent - then double-click the “title” content to invoke the Dialog. When I right click on the title  content I consistently get   I cannot access the dialog for title on the page. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
