I launch author and the AEM sign-in page comes up but the server icon doesn't come up after that.  Then after I give credentials I get this error:Cannot serve request to /projects.html in org.apache.sling.servlets.get.DefaultGetServlet on Author.  It seems that it can't resolve the extension .html and the projects.html uri with the projects resource.  Also it can't get the path.0 (2014-10-29 09:34:30) TIMER_START{Request Processing} 0 (2014-10-29 09:34:30) COMMENT timer_end format is {<elapsed msec>,<timer name>} <optional message> 0 (2014-10-29 09:34:30) LOG Method=GET, PathInfo=/projects.html 0 (2014-10-29 09:34:30) TIMER_START{ResourceResolution} 0 (2014-10-29 09:34:30) TIMER_END{0,ResourceResolution} URI=/projects.html resolves to Resource=, type=cq:Page, path=/libs/cq/core/content/projects, resource=[JcrNodeResource, type=cq:Page, superType=null, path=/libs/cq/core/content/projects] 0 (2014-10-29 09:34:30) LOG Resource Path Info: SlingRequestPathInfo: path='/libs

Using the Touch UI interface, I have a 'multifield' that contains a series of 'select' fields.  I can select, change, and delete items in this multifield just fine, however, when I try to remove the last remaining 'select' from the multifield and save, the last item is not removed.  I've tried setting the 'allowBlank' property to true, but it still won't let me remove the last item from the multifield.  Any ideas on how I can achieve this?UPDATEHere is the contents of my .content.xml file for the cq:dialog node.  The /jcr:root/content/items/section-filters/items/permissions node is the offender.  I'm not sure that 'allowBlank' is a valid property in the Touch UI:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:cq="http://www.day.com/jcr/cq/1.0" xmlns:jcr="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0" xmlns:nt="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/nt/1.0" jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured" jcr:title="Edit Portal Component" sling:resourceType="cq/gui/com

Hello,I am attempting to create a custom error page for my company's website. I followed the instructions found in http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/current/developing/customizing_error_handler_pages.html. Although my error page does appear as expected, it does not mimic the appearance of the rest of the site. Is there a way to apply my site's template to the custom error page? Thanks,Sarah

Hi alli have a bit of an odd problem. We like to include two different components (both having an EditBar) on the same page, both using the same resource path:<cq:include path="header" resourceType="/apps/header" /> <cq:include path="header" resourceType="/apps/title" />We're already live with our page where there is only one component and all data is stored in the "header" node. Now the customer wants to split it in two components, but the data that was already entered should still be available and editable. When I test the page in the browser, i have following results:The content of both components are displayed on the rendered page, but the EditBar of the second component is missing.I've analysed the WCM JavaScript code and figured out, that the resource path is used as identifier of the EditBar. Therefore, as i have used the same path twice, only one EditBar will be created. Is there any way I can have two components with the same path on the same page?Or any other suggest

Hi,Let's pretend page P1 under /content includes a component C1 that is located under /apps/myapp/c1.If I change C1, will the cached version of P1 be cleared from the dispatcher?Today I noticed changes to a component I had written had not cleared the pages that were using that component from the dispatcher cache. I was wondering if this was only a temporary incident or if this is the expected behavior? Thanks

Hi,When I run the following code, I get an exception that the principal does not exist:final UserManager userManager = resourceResolver.adaptTo(UserManager.class);userManager.autoSave(false); // need this line to make this operation atomicfinal Group group = userManager.createGroup(    groupId,    new UserPrincipal(groupId),    groupPath);AccessControlUtil.replaceAccessControlEntry(    session,    "/some/path",    group.getPrincipal(),    new String[]{            Replicator.REPLICATE_PRIVILEGE,            Privilege.JCR_ALL    };,    null, null, null);UserPrincipal is a class we have defined:public class UserPrincipal implements Principal, Serializable {    private final String name;    public UserPrincipal(String name) throws IllegalArgumentException {        this.name = name;    }    public String getName() {        return name;    }    // ...}If I save the session before invoking replaceAccessControlEntry it works with no problem. The exception occurs in line 363 of AccessControlUtil:

SummaryExample setup: I have two very simple components, components A and B. Component A contains 3 instances of component B. Component A uses a _cq_template to set some default properties for it and its children when it is dragged onto a parsys.Issue: When a user drags component A onto a parsys, I expect the cq:listeners in its _cq_editConfig to fire, and they do not. The listeners do fire for the last the instance of component B, but not all of them nor for component A. In addition to that, when I drag component A into a parsys, it does not allow me to edit it (there is no blue border around it when I place my mouse cursor over it). This is also the case for the B components, with the exception of the one who's editConfig listeners fired. How to reproduceIn order to reproduce this issue, create two simple components as described (one of them must contain instances of the other, and they must use cq:template to set default values). Dragging your component into a parsys will demonstrate

I'm trying to clarify the right way to design this sub-part of our CQ installation, and so am looking for feedback from you guys.  The problem is that I have a host that will be running outside of our CQ installation, and it does some job of populating some database (outside of CQ), say, once a day.  It might take like 5-15 minutes or so, but that's not super relevant.  When this job is done, I want it to hit a URL in our CQ installation with say some POST request called something like http://host/updateJcrStats?api_key=1234832423859235 (api_key would be a simple way of preventing random web users from forcing this update).  Since this request needs to come from the external web, it will be hitting a publish server (of which we have say 5 or 6 of them).  I am thinking of creating a Job, like along the lines of here (http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/current/deploying/offloading/dev-offloading.html).  The job would be created in whatever publish server got hit after the load balancer, an

We want to be able to show different content to users based ona. Authentication Level (signed in vs not signed in)b. Group Memberships What's the best way to achieve this in CQ5? Is this something OOB or we've to write custom code to achieve it

Hello,I have a problem with encoding of content in CQ5 with which i hope you can help... My back end was developed in an encoding supporting special chars for certain nations like nordics. the content on CQ5 though was uploaded in an encoding different from the backend, so now we have the urgency to export/convert the encoding/import somehow back into CQ5 . is it possible in a bulk mode? I can apply the script on the cached content as these are flat files, but i dont know how to do that in CQ5 master content so to speak. ... any hint or pointers to useful resources here would be much appreciated.... many thanks!Tom

Hi,I want to replication changes that are made on a design_dialog to my publish instance. I wrote a launcher to do the replication but this replicates as soon as there is a change in node. I want to only replicate when the author clicks page activation. My launcher users the activate content workflow.Thank you.Cheers,Viren.

Hi, Recently, I was working on custom link tracking on client site. The site support first party cookie. I have used s.tl() method to track link name clicked by a user and i see the data in site catalyst. onclick="s_sitecatalyst.tl("true", 'o', '<Link name>');"I am getting data from the above implementation also. The above code can be used on site which accepts 3rd party cookie or 1st party cookie. But i am wondering, how does first party cookie will affect custom link tracking. Like shown below-     onclick="            s.linkTrackVars = "trackingServer, trackingServerSecure";        s_sitecatalyst.trackingServer="<your url >";        s_sitecatalyst.trackingServerSecure="<url >";        s_sitecatalyst.tl("true", 'o', '<Link name>');"The above code i have found in knowledge base. This can be used only if your site accepts first party cookie.I am sure we will be getting data in both ways but what is the main difference in data collection ?

Hi All, Trying to create a Calculated Metric on the Admin console (to be used by all users) I cannot use Events for my formula (they do not show in the list of available metrics).I can see Events when creating a Calculated Metric from a report, for my user account. Is that normal? Is that a feature or a bug? Thanks, Gidi

We have done Distimo integration with one of our mobile app. Would be cool to make real time reporting on how many downloads we get in real time. I can’t see “downloads” as a metric in real time reporting so I guess this is not possible? Seems like not possible even with the help of processing rules. Any ideas how we could do this or impossible?Noticed that Distimo published free API and with that everything is possible, but that would mean much more work than the default SiteCatalyst real time reporting. :(

In Adobe Analytics, Is there a way where I can segment what a user does after an event happens? For example, I want to know what pages the user visits after they sign up for a newsletter or after they visit a specific page.  Any help is appreciated, thanks!

How can I automate sending data to an FTP site on a daily basis through Data Warehouse? When I try to set up an automatic send, it only allows me to send by month or year. Is it possible to send daily in Data Warehouse?

Hi all,I have a site tagged through on page JS, but would like to add new features / rules etc with the Dynamic Tag Manager.I have created the web property, checked on the "Adobe Analytics page is already present" and rename the "Object Name" to s2.But, for the s_code part, where either "managed" or "url" needs to be chosen I am not 100% sure what to do and what it involves:I have read the manual: (https://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/dtm/index.html#Adobe_Analytics)but what should I do if I just wanted to add new features/rules but change nothing from the native code? Many thanks,Manuel

I am particularly trying to popular an evar with a query parameter. Such as http://mysite.com?internalID=CollectMeand assign a global variable on the applicable conditions to grab the collect me.  THANKS!

OK, so my situation is:  there is a long running report which was created in Omniture 13.5 by the person who was in this position before I was.  Beginning last week the report is no longer running correctly.  I have looked and tried to see if I could recreate the report but have not had any luck so far in doing so.  I tweeted to Adobe support and @AdobeMktCare requested I post the report on here for assistance.  So attached is what the report looked like prior to last week and the new results I am receiving on it.  Any assistance with recreating this report would be greatly appreciated - I am sure there is a way, I just clearly do not know how to do so.

HiI'm responsible for a web service where users can send contact requests through a web form that has a drop down menu to select the topic of the request. Sending the contact request has been defined as a success event and the topic is saved to a conversion variable (eVar). I have a couple of questions about the setting:We would like to classify some of the contact requests as leads. Should I use conversion classifications for this? Do I have to classify the non-lead requests with something else? How can I add monetary values to the requests? Can each contact request have its own value or am I limited to adding value only to the success event (or even this)? Or should I actually use products to solve this? Thanks for the responses!
