It would be great if we can set colors on the chart reports in report builder. Having different colors for the same field on different reports is causing confusion for the users.

We have the same problem with reporting project status. Green comes up in Blue. Blue should equal complete. On time should equal green and At Risk should equal Yellow and Behind should equal Red. We did walk Anna through these use cases. I also agree with Marc on the budgeting status. With that said, I'd like the ability to set the colors to a standard (Any company standard) and be able to see it in the tool.

If I could give this more than 1 vote, I would. We have the same need as Marc Moroz (see above) and have to export the data and use Excel charts. Very inefficient.

We also need the ability to set how the colors are assigned:

I have a pie chart showing how projects are against their budget.

  • Null (No budget entered) = Blue. OK.
  • On Budget = Yellow (This should be green)
  • Significantly Over = Green (This should be red)
  • Slightly Over = Red (This should be yellow)

This doesn't sound like a big deal but I have met very few C-level people willing to re-interpret Red/Yellow/Green.

The option of changing the terms they're used to so that they alphabetically line up with the colors we want isn't a great option either.

We need this to stop exporting data to excel to format the reports to look like our company required

Yes, our project health report pie chart displays the "green" healthy projects in blue. Many graphic look like a carnival or good indicators show up in prison pink.

Would really like to see this happen!

True. We also need more colors available. The limited number of colors is too small.
