Allow screenshots in updates/comments

Please let us add screenshots to comments or updates, as in JIRA. These images do not need to be revision-controlled, like a document, but we need to be able to easily share images within the team, and would prefer to stop using email or OneNote for this purpose.

The biggest complaint we hear from our Users is that the WF Update/Email system is poor by comparison to other similar tools (OutLook and Clarizen to name just two). Being able to add images and attach files would be a great step forward.

This would definitely be helpful for us as well - ex. one use needs to get a "snapshot" of what files are in a project folder at a given time. this would be the perfect solution.

Hi everyone. I'm excited to see so much support for something like this. I just wanted to post an update that we are looking into this. While I don't have a definitive timeline, I can say is that it is fairly high on our list. I hope to be able to address it sometime within the next several months. As I investigate all of the nuances of the needs here, there's a chance I will reach out to some of you.

I will be sure to update this post as movement is made toward this enhancement.

Please can we have this functionality it is also greatly needed from our perspective as well! Can we please get an update on 'under construction'? Does this mean it will happen?

Thanks

The ability to add screenshots/images directly into an update/comment is so desperately needed. If my development team is to move from JIRA over to Workfront, my test team must have this functionality. They quickly give comments back to the team and add screenshots or images as they are typing. In current WF, we need to add a document and either copy the URL and paste it into the Update/Comment that they have already started typing or we have to upload all of the images first. This is especially an issue if you need multiple images in an update/comment. Both JIRA and Basecamp have had this functionality for years so I'm just not sure why this isn't available in Workfront.

OMG please! and attachments! Until the functionality of the updates fully replicates email, we'll always have people switching back and forth between WF and email, creating double work.

Just have all attachments / files added this way automatically be filed in the Documents area. People can organize them later (or just as likely, not!), but attach them quickly during communication.

Yes, same here, I'd love to have an update on this as this is a critical functionality our teams are desperate for!

Is there any update on this ? I haven't seen any official posts or comments regarding the status, and just curious what the timeline looks like.

I really think that having an image uploaded through the comments feed show up under the docs area as well would be pretty simple...
