Allow unlimited amount of custom quarters

For those who need custom quarters, I invite you to consider a "Fiscal YYYYQQ" calculated parameter (e.g. at the Project Level, or the Task Level, or the Issue Level, or the Expense Level, etc. whether on Planned or Projected, Start or End..., with the notable exception of Hours, which don't support custom data...yet...) that translates the date into the appropriate custom quarter using YYYYQQ format, so that you can then filter/view/group/report/chart on those values (e.g. between 2019Q3 and 2024Q3 for a 5 year filter such as @amanda6703 described).

Currently this enhancement is not part of our 6-month roadmap due to competing priorities, but we understand the need for tracking work for more than 8 quarters. We will consider this enhancement for our longer-term roadmap and update here in case there are any changes in prioritization.

@jessere1 it has been several years since this initial post and it is something that would be really useful, is this on the product teams roadmap?

Hi Adobe Workfront, has there been any traction on this request in the past 7 years. This would be a great to have more quarters available. In addition, is there a way to allow GROUPS to have different custom quarters from those set at the System level?

I would absolutely love to have unlimited quarters for our instance as well. It would also be nice to customize total FY options, as well as H1 and H2 options.

@nicholevargas Hi Nichole! Couldn't find anyone else I know at WorkFront to tag on this - can we please raise this to the product team? This has been an idea for years and many people have commented wanting this (including me). If we have 8, I wouldn't think it's a big effort to have the ability to add more? Really messes up reporting to only have 8 quarters.

In order for us to do YOY comparisons, we would need at least 5 years of quarters. 

I like @emmag13 's suggestion; just let them be automatic based on initial input dates.

Also, please can we set the custom quarters at a global level not a project level as it then flows into resource planning, otherwise everything is out for 2 months for us.
