Character limitations (special characters) in Dropdown Fields

Hello everyone,

I explored this subject a while ago but cant find the reference to my initial results. Can someone point me out to a thread or document that describes character limitations in dropdown fields ? I am mainly interested in special characters ",/\() and alike in use for dropdown value names and labels etc that a) might affect creation and performance of fields b) affect calculated fields build upon values.

Thanks,

Lukasz

Hi there, there is a section in this article - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/workfront/using/administration-and-setup/customize/custom-forms/form-designer/design-a-form/design-a-form.html?lang=en#add-radio-buttons-checkboxes-and-dropdowns - that gives more detail around dropdown/radio buttons/checkboxes. In my experience, you can have /\() in dropdown options and I've used hyphens and slashes plenty and haven't seen any impact on performance, you just MAY run into some reporting issues down the line, but I haven't experienced this much. Depends on the report.
