[CLOSED] - Default views/filters

This post has been closed as a duplicate. All votes have been moved to the original: I want to be able to set a default View/Filter/Grouping from Layout Template

Is there a way we can make a view and/or filter the default on a specific project (i.e. the first thing they see), as opposed to making it default on every project on Workfront?

This would really help with adoption & reports of the application being too hard to navigate..

This would be perfect for us as well! We have one group that only ever needs to see one filter and it would be so nice if we could mark this filter as default when we go to schedule people!

This would solve a number of "perceived" usability problems from our users who often forget to set a view or a filter when going from one project to the next. It also becomes tedious having to share sifting through the views and filters to find the ones that are needed.

We were just going to suggest the same thing. This would be very helpful, and I'm really surprised it doesn't already exist.

I would love this not only for projects or reports but also just for the main dashboard/updates. The most common request from my team is to always have a view grouped a certain way so that it's uniform when we onboard.

I agree this would be very useful functionality. We have some projects that only really make sense for our users when viewed with a specific set of data and filters applied. Even though we have created custom view and filter settings and trained users to switch to them for the specific projects, they quickly get confused when viewing other projects and those views and filters are still applied.

Yes, its annoying having to change views as you move from project to project. The view should be tied to the project.
