In addition, having the ability to link an issue and task form so that when you make changes on one the other is automatically updated. In general, we tend to retain the issue during conversion to a task. Both the issue and task have the same custom form fields and having to remember to update the same value on 2 different objects is challenging. We retain the issue to keep the original requester of the ticket informed on the status of resolution of their request.
