Custom forms: External Lookup – Usage in Views & Filters

An external lookup field can be added in a custom form to get data from external data sources into a dropdown box.

This feature is very helpful to avoid redundant storage of data in external applications and Workfront.

I would like to add this external lookup field additionally in list views and filters with all dropdown options coming from the external API.

Currently this field appears as a Single Line Text Field and the dropdown options are not displayed at all.

I'm happy to inform you that now the external lookup field works on lists and views with the following limitations:

The dependency between fields is still not supported, meaning if your external look-up field has a dependency on another field, then changing that field in the lists will not impact the options of the external lookup field.
External lookup is still not working on the reports that are embedded in the dashboards
