Default values for Report Prompts

It would make for less clicks for users, if a report creator could set default values for report prompts.

With default values, in most situations, the end user viewing the report can just click the 'Run Report' button, and the defaults will be used. Currently the default value is '--any--', but for something like a date field, it would be very useful to be able to default it to 'Past Year' or some other value other than '--any--'

    Keeping this idea alive!

     

    I came in here looking to see if we could set defaults to prompts. Majority of date prompts maybe YTD or "This Year", so it would be nice if the user could just hit generate. But if they need to change the timeframe, they still can. 

     

    We also use Groups as a macro organization and Teams and a micro organization under Groups, as many users do. If I could set the report filtered for wildcard-Group ID, then the prompt defaulted to wildcard-team, then many users across the organization can use the same report, it would automatically reflect themselves, BUT they could chose to add other teams as well for cross analysis.

    And, when putting a report in a dashboard, it would be great if you could set prompt value just for that dashboard.
