Expand the hot zone around check boxes

We've expanded the checkbox selection zone in the new version of lists available in Projects and Tasks pages in production, so I'm marking this idea as Delivered. It will eventually be available in other areas of the product when we apply new lists there.

Hello, John,

I have good news here. This change is already implemented and available on Projects list in Preview! As you might've heard, we are working on new list solution which will improve the performance of list interactions, especially when working with large lists. It also includes several usability improvements, one of them being the expanded selection zone.

I would highly appreciate if you could have a look at the Projects list and provide your feedback via "Give Feedback" button.

Please note that column resizing, column drag and drop and support for icon fields is not available yet in Beta 1 and will be added with upcoming releases. Also the new solution is only available for project lists under Projects global navigation area.

Any updates on this - maybe R2-2018 :-)

this actually hurts new users - as in provides a vocal reason as to why they don't like the tool. As small as it is (no pun intended) this selection process is used often.

I use CTRL + click to avoid this issue.

Agreed. We are just now piloting and I can already foresee this becoming an even larger issue down the road.

I agree - this causes frustration for our users also.

I upvoted, but I did want to share that if you want to select multiple rows all you have to do is hold down control as you click. Then each row can be bulk edited.

I concur. This drives me nuts.

I agree. I had submitted a similar idea suggestion too, but Anthony's appears to be gaining more traction. I see a lot of our users struggle with it.
