How can I report on # of days requests are in current status?

Question

We need to report on any requests, excluding those In Progress, that have not changed status in a week.  We are tracking status changes in Updates, but I don't see a date field tied to status in the report builder that we could use for filtering or any way to capture Updates tracking that would appear in Updates in the report builder either.  Any ideas?
