Workfront

I am trying to pull in the Project owner on a Issue/Request report. The issue lies in that some of these tasks are associated to resolve task and some are associated to resolve a Project. What field do I need to points towards in order to display the associated (resolve) project name when dealing with the task level?  Any insight will be greatly appreciated!-Eric

We have about 200+ clients that we have to choose from when starting a marketing project. Sometimes we have to select multiple clients. We are currently using a very large drop down field but each time an end user selects a client, the drop down field closes and they have to reopen it to select another client. This is laborious and time consuming. Before we onboarded Workfront for our marketing operations teams we used a tool called Appian. When we were on Appian it would do a look-up based on a client code within a field. we could apply many client codes to one field.  I know we have lookup fields currently in the tool but it will only bring in one value at a time in one field. Is there a way to source the clients from a data store or excel sheet that could be used as a lookup rather than trying to select from a drop down field? 

Is anyone getting an Unexpected Application Error when opening a proof from the Share Proof link?  I have been troubleshooting this error for a couple of weeks and have narrowed it down to the shareable proof link within the proof.  If we grab the link from the proof inside of Workfront/Documents, we do not have an issue.   

Since it doesn't seem to be possible to pull data directly from a report, I am trying to use the API to get all the tasks that fit certain conditions, and one of those conditions is that a custom field, called Date Booked, is not null. However, when I put "project:DE:Date Booked_Mod=notnull" into the URL, I get this error message:{"error":{"message":"Invalid Parameter: Search Parameter value \"project:DE:Date Booked\"","title":null,"msgKey":"exception.attask","attributes":[""],"code":0}}Is what I'm doing possible, and if so, what am I doing wrong? Either way, please let me know.  Thank you. 

In my instance, when logged in as any user with a Request license type, I am able to freely interact with the Priorities feature despite it being globally disabled in in my Setup area. I am also seemingly able to successfully add both tasks and issues to any project that test user can see, despite that not being functionality available to the Request user license type in the first place. Screenshot walk-through is below.  My ticket with Support is 0422817 if anyone would like to reference it in their case.     

While cleaning up our instance I manually removed any filters/views/groupings that were owned and shared with users that are no longer with the company. I was hoping to set up a quarterly process to clear these out but am not finding a great way to do that. I don't see where they are accessible within Fusion to identify filters/views/groupings. Anyone know a trick?I also tried creating a filter report and setting it to only show those owned by users that aren't active BUT it came back with tons of results that are not showing in the master filter list in the setup area. Every user was showing an All Documents, Recent, _filter etc but I do not know where those are pulling from since they don't show in the master list. (photos attached. System only shows 2 document filters total but the report shows 2 different document filters for every user.

We created a custom intake form to intake top-level campaign information that is used to populate our marketing calendar with planned work.  This form just capture basic info about the campaign to help with visibility (via the calendar) and resource planning (for in-house team to see when campaigns are being planned to launch throughout the year).  This form contains a field for "Primary Line of Business". The second step in the process is to populate the strategy brief form - much longer, much more detail about the campaign that marketers fill out when it's time to actually start kicking off the campaign.  In this form we have a field for "Audience".  We have very different audience choices based on the "Primary Line of Business" (the field already populated in the first intake form).   How can I create a dependency for only certain audience choices to show in the strategy brief based on the selection from the intake form?  These are all cu

I am struggling with reports.  I need to have one report that shows all tasks and request that have been assigned to a team so that the manager of the team can distribute the work.  I have been trying to use the Assignment report but I can't figure out the columns so that I can see the request. Questions:1. Is there a way to automatically filter by a team so that the manager of the team sees only their teamnote: I can hard code a filter by team but want it to be automatic2. Is there a way to combine the name columns from both tasks and requests into one columnnote: if not, I can just create a report for tasks and another for requests3. Is there a diagram that explains the fields that are selectable on the for the reports?note: I can't figure out which column to display that will show the assigned to (for both the request and the task) so that the manager can quickly change the assignment from the team to an individual.   Thank you for the help

I am curious if others are experiencing this issue with the My Approvals not being available.   I put in a support ticket already and the workaround I was provided was to have users refer to email notifications or notifications in Workfront.

Hi Folks, Here's what i have - Project details form with a custom field with numbers 1-10 in a drop down.Name - ED Client Review Rounds,  Format - Number, Display - Single select dropdown.When someone selects a number, I want that to reflect in a report column, and then a chart. So on the report i want it to group all the projects with 1 selected, all with 2 selected, etc etc. and then put that into a pie chart or a bar chart or whatever. Any help would be greatly appreciated! for sorting out a column thing and tips on generating a report! thanks! 

How do we show the due date time like the older version of WF? We work by due date times and no longer can easily find the due time. 

It's not unusual for a request to come in that results in more than one project. How do we best reflect those relationships? Will the "Convert to"function work more than once? If so, will it carry custom form data for both resolving projects? Will those resolving projects both be reflected with the issue?

Hi,  If I want to upload a new version for a document with proofing I'm continuously receiving the message: error generating proof. This is already going on for a while and I don't know how to fix it. Documents aren't to big, I've cleaned the cache + I've tried different browsers.  In the meantime I'm uploading the files as a new proof but I hope someone has a solution available.  Kind regards, Marjolein

Has anyone started noticing this pop-up message on tabs that they leave open and then come back to after only a few seconds?I will click out of the tab and then come back to it only a few seconds later. This is quite annoying.
