Is it possible to require a status update when the project status changes?

I would like to prompt project owners to provide a final status update when changing a project status to Dead, Rejected, Completed, or On Hold so I can report the 'why' in a dashboard.  Is there a way to do this in Workfront or is a Fusion scenario required?

if the "why"/final status is expected to be captured in a custom field than you can probably easily create a business rule around that.

 

Roughly, if project status is Dead, Rejected, Completed, or On Hold && "why" is empty than ERROR, else Good.
