Workfront should create a login record for each time someone log's into WF System. This will help us determine how often people login and also help us debug cases where people are unable to login.

Hi there, in a user report, you can add a filter or grouping for 'Login Count' - is that what you're looking for?

If this helped you, please mark correct to help others : )

I'd like Admin log ins to not count towards with the 'Last Log in Date' or the 'Log in count'. Also, I'd like the current functionality to be more well known so that as Admins, we are not presenting incorrect information to our leadership.

Oh, ok. So your request here is for a report that EXCLUDES the admin using a "Log in as"...

I wish you were correct, but the Last Log in Date on the people report does include the Admin log ins. Workfront has confirmed this in the past.

You can test by creating a new user today. Now use Log in As, and log in as that user today. Then look at your People report. It will show they logged in today:( It also appears to show that the Log in Count is 1.

Note: In our environment we change the default view/filters & when I set up a user, I need to log in as them to configure. (No admin controls to set this up.)

See this page:

https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/216788488-Understanding-Workfront-Built-In-Reports

For User Logins it says:

A User report which displays the following fields: the unique ID, Login Count (the number of times the user logged in since starting with Workfront), Last Login Date of the users. The report is grouped by the Access Level of the users.

Based on this and looking at the admin screen you referenced and the User Login report, I don't think it counts the "Log in as" by admins. It is counting just the actual user's login numbers and last login date. It covers all time - since the user began with Workfront.

Tammy - Do you know what time frame the Log In Count shows? (Forever? Last year?)

Yes, but be aware that this 'log in' date field may not be showing what you think. The log in date reflects when an Admin has logged into the account (Log in As). Since this is the case, I am unable to confidently provide a Log In report to my management.

To get the data: Choose People > People > and in your View, choose User: Last Log in Date

Then as an Admin: You need to go to Set up > Log in As > Access Log. Check your user & see if the Last Log in Date was the Admin. If yes, there is no way to really find the last User's log in date.

There is a "view" on the "People" page that includes Last login date and a Login Count.
