Reference Numbers for Portfolios and Programs

I've had clients that would have liked to reference a unique reference number for Portfolios and Programs. However, Portfolios and Programs do not get a reference number like a Project or Issue gets upon creation.

    Agree with Sarah - can we please get an update from Workfront on this request to have a Program / Portfolio Reference number.
    We have the same need as Monique - trying to better organize our assets and create metatags to easily connect the asset to the program/project.

    This request has been open since 2018. Any chance of actually getting a reference number of portfolios and programs?  This would be a really simple addition that would help a lot of people.  PLEASE?!?

    As we are trying to better organize our assets and create metatags to easily connect the asset to the program/project within Workfront a program reference number would help tremendously

    I agree! Additionally, our org has encountered some difficulty with the fact that Projects and Tasks share the same reference ID type. It would be nice if each object had a unique reference number system!

    For consistency in reporting, etc. this would be nice. :)
