Request for Guidance on Bulk Setting Japanese Holidays in Workfront

I hope this message finds you well.

I would like to import Japan’s weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and public holidays into Workfront to facilitate progress tracking and effort calculations. I have the official public holiday data from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, which I can provide as an attachment.

Could you please guide me on the steps or process to bulk import this data into Workfront so that these days are recognized as non-working days? Additionally, if there are any specific format requirements or tools needed for this import, kindly let me know.

Thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,

Good afternoon,

The Workfront feature you need to support that goal is called a 'Schedule'. Once created, the Schedule can be applied to either an individual user and/or a project itself. Applying the schedule to a user will ensure that the resourcing areas of Workfront reflect their availability correctly. Applying the schedule to a project will ensure that the project plan itself schedules around the holidays regardless of what staff is assigned.

I do not believe the dates can be bulk-imported via a 'Kick-Start' template, but creating a schedule is a relatively minor task that can be done once in Setup and then used in many places. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront/using/administration-and-setup/set-up-wf/configure-timesheets-schedules/create-schedules

There is an option for you to add the holiday exceptions in the Schedules functionality.

You can create a Schedule for the required groups and add your holidays in the exceptions tab. you have to do this every year though.
