Request Queue Routing Rules

I have created a request queue project and I am trying to be able to have people add to the request queue in the left tab within a project and have the request go to that request queue project AND stay in the project. I have been using routing rules, queue topics etc to achieve both of these separately, but cannot find a way to make workfront follow two routing rules.

Things I have tried:

- two routing rules (Stay in Project rule and Go to Issues Project rule). One set as default routing in queue details.

- two routing rules (Stay in Project rule and Go to Issues Project rule). No default routing in queue details.

- Queue Topics set up as part of request queue with the Go to Issues Project Rule as the Routing Rule. (Stay in Project Rule as queue details default)

@greencaterpilla Just checking in — were you able to resolve your issue? We’d love to hear how things worked out. If the suggestions above helped, marking a response as correct can guide others with similar questions. And if you found another solution, feel free to share it — your insights could really benefit the community. Thanks again for being part of the conversation!

I, too, could probably use some clarification around what you're trying to accomplish. That said, let's see if this information helps:

  • Routing rules are designed to help you either move an issue to another project and/or assign the issue.
  • In the absence of any routing rules (because it's not required), the default is for it to remain in the project of origin.
  • You cannot send an issue to more than one location.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do but if people are submitting one issue, it does not get sent to two different places.
